Battier, Landry, Cook, Barry, and either Brooks or Lowry to Washington for Gilbert Arenas with Washington having the choice of Brooks or Lowry?

Do you think Washington would do it?

No. I wouldnt bring in a guy with a worse injury problem than Tmac and then expect Tmac, Yao, and Arenas to all stay healthy for a whole season. That would be close to as impossible an odds to ever expect.

I would love to see McGrady, Arenas, and Yao wearing suits on the sideline. It would be a shame Francis is gone though. No more purple sequent Obama velvet jackers :(

When Arenas was in his prime he wasn't that great. He was a ball dominator that couldn't beat decent defenses by himself. He didn't make his teammates better. He wasn't a true point guard.

No I wouldn't, yes they would.

Arenas' contract is the worst in the history of the NBA. Yes, worse than Zach Randolph's, worse than Steve Francis' (thanks CD!), worse than Darius Miles'. The only contract bold enough to challenge Mt. Arenas is Jim McIlvaine's notorious contract where he got paid more money than Kemp. Beyond that you gotta go to baseball to find more outrageous contracts. Darren Dreifort's contract is basically the Olympus Mons of professional sports though, no one's touching that thing.

Still, a healthy Gilbert could very well make us super contenders for the next 5 years...

But hey, If you think that DM can get someone better, I am all for it. I just want to win, and Gilbert would be really nice...

arenas has 5 years on a max deal and a bum knee...

he's also the face of the franchise...

i don't think either team would be interested. the rockets wouldn't take the risk and the wiz wouldn't dump their money maker for role players.

No way. That's WAY too much for a me-first, one-dimensional scorer/shooter. We'd be giving away three central figures for one. How does that make sense?

You dont feel as we give up alot, even though its not much.

Its funny because half the board dislikes T-Mac, but you wanna trade for Arenas..
