Basically, would you trade Yao for Lebron? As good as Lebron is, I really don't think you can put a price on quality big men today. I don't think I would pull the trigger on this hypothetical deal. How about this...say Clev gets the #1 and they offered the #1 and Big Z for Yao...any interest? (Can you tell I'm extremely bored...my office is deader than Elvis right now so pardon my thinking out loud)
Just what we want, some loser that refers to himself as "King" James. I'd rather have a humble, team oriented player than some guy who already thinks he's the next coming of Jordan.
NJR if it wasn't you I'd be pissed. However if such an esteemed poster would consider this then why not I. hmmmm After further evaluation, I think that my answer would be no.
Sorry AB...im realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly bored....but i wouldnt do the deal either if it makes you feel better
There is no way in hell!! I cannot even think of a scenario where I would trade Yao. What other player in the league will sell more jerseys to the most populated country in the world? I will also echo the sentiment already stated by Raven (a poster who I respect and who summed my feelings up perfectly) gaurds and centers win titles.... and a franchise center is MUCH more valuable than a franchise anything else!
I'm not soo sure Lebron is a NBA forward, he passes more like a guard. But that being said I would not trade Yao. I would rather have a great Big Man than a great Little Man.
I would keep Yao of course. Bad for Cleveland too. No way to market Yao. No Chinese people. But if Lebron James with Ilgauskas, that wouldn't be too bad. It would never happen. But that Lithuanian guy is pretty good. If they gave Dajuan Wagner, Ricky Davis, the big 7-3 guy, and Lebron James for Yao, I would accept. But that would never occur. So forget it. NJRocket, if you know that it is hypothetical, then why post it? Oh well. You really must be bored.
Not until Moses Malone showed up and made his famous "fo, fo, fo" prediction about Phillie's dominance in the playoffs that year. As history recorded, Moses was close, they went 'fo, fi, fo', losing one game. ~kountzer~
