just curious. Yao might turn out to be the next MD center, but could become completely worthless too. Would you trade Yao now based on his performance so far? If yes, for whom?

The only reason we should trade Yao Ming is because we have done such a disgraceful job of helping him to develop his NBA Game. We would trade him because we would have compassion, knowing his potential will never be realised here in Houston. I suggest the Memphis Grizzlies where he is WANTED.

It depends on who you can get from this trade. Kandi man? No. TD or KG? Yes.

    Worthless? Never!

The guy in a worse case scenario can still clog the middle.

Trade him right now, I am first a Yao-fan, second rockets fan.
Trade him to another team which knows how to take full advantage of Yao. Because Mr. Mean doesnt know.

There's a reason the Rockets have gone (statistically) from a poor defensive team to a very good defensive team. And it's not the return of Taylor & Rice. :D

Now, if someone in the Rockets management chain will just figure out how to use the big guy more effectively on offense...ISO'd on the low block with no weakside player movement isn't cuttin' it!

Not only Grizzlies, not only Dallas. There are far too many teams that are better than Rox for the development of Yao. But I will be sorry if Franchise-Dynasty combo fall apart one day. :(

Just incase you dont realise it, my post was a sarcastic one. I just want the Rockets to take better care of their treasure. With the correct coaching Yao Ming should be at least as good as Jabar, he will never play the brute style game like Shaq. Yao Ming is the ONLY good thing that the Rockets have going for their future and you had better beleive it!! I wont grace such a senceless poll with a vote!

I am beginning to realize Rockets is the absolute worst team for Yao to develope his NBA game, Laker maybe a distant second. On any other team, Yao could have easily averaged 20 points, or even 25. On Rockets, Yao's weakness is completely exposed. His biggest weakness is physical strength. But Rockets let him go one-on-one is the low post all game long, with no one help on the strong/weak side and no one cutting to the basket. After every screen, no one can/will feed him a freaking basket when he is wide open. Of course Yao will get worn out quickly in the game after these stupid plays. Yao's strength and versatility are completely ignored, his passing, shooting range, post moves he displayed in earlier games.
I become a Rockets fan because of Yao Ming. So are the majority of the newcomers. I am sick of seeing Yao regressing his game in Rockets (Oh wait, the regressing to all Rockets players). Trade him to any other team, where Yao can develope his game and grow as a team player. I don't see how Rockets and Yao can work out, without drastic change to coaching and players.

How about you stop gracing us with your senseless posts instead?

Yao Ming is the "ONLY" good thing the Rockets have? That other little All-Star we have called Francis doesn't seem to be that bad either? You know the one averaging over 20,6,5. And the role players like Maurice and Cuttino aren't exactly garbage either.
