I know that with the salaries and all the regulations in the NBA, this deal would be almost impossibel, But let's consider the Rockets could swap YAO for SHAQ straight up, Would you do it?
Oh yes, I'm all for it! Lets trade Yao for Shaq, TMac for Kobe, MoT for Malone and Nachbar for Payton and Van Gundy for Rudy.
This is the most ludicrous thing i've ever heard.10 yrs of domination vs. 2-3? Would I trade Yao for Shaq 9 years ago? Hell Yes!!I would have to pass now.
it has come down to this topic again. Its been discussed about 10 million times already. CANT wait til the season begins. oh by the way, I ate rice&beans last night.
Sorry, you were alittle off. This has been discussed 9,999,675 times in this forum, not 10,000,000. 325 more threads, you'd be right.
I personally think the thread starter was thinking of something unique here... maybe he meant, would you trade Yao for Shaq if you were playing something else, like Scrabble. Hmm... Yao's a non-native speaker who only started learning English a few years ago... Shaq is... well, Shaq. Boy, tough call.
i'm taking Yao over Shaq in a game of scrabble. Shaq did have a rap career if you want to call it there and uses an occassional big word, but I believe Yao has been quietly learning the language. Yao in a blowout.
if the Rockets had great supporting cast, hell yeah! with what we've got now ... better to bet on the uncertain future with Yao. at least it give us time to fill the holes.
you'd have to take "s-h-a-q" over "y-a-o". think about it... if you just so happened to land on a triple word score, that would be 48 points as opposed to just 18 in the same senario for "y-a-o". man... it could be even more points if it was on a triple word score and the "q" was on a triple letter score... 108! not sure if that's really possible with the way the board is layed out and everything. it's been a while since i've played. of course you'd have to take blanks and other bonus squares into account when calculating the score. it would suck royally if you had to use the blank as a "q".
guys guys guys Yao wins in scrabble. Don't yall remember the commercial?? He beat Steve fair and square by using Chinese words.
