There are some rumors on another board of a Kobe/Bynum for Yao/Battier/Head deal.

Would you make that trade? or not?

I would never make that trade, I always think when trading equal or near equal talent you go with the bigger player.

Yao is the biggest in the NBA and is a mismatch almost every night. While Kobe is the best INDIVIDUAL player in the game, it doesn't make him a good teamate.

So, I vote no....keep Tmac and Yao together...don't shake up the roster right as all the pieces are finally in place.

Don't over tinker and screw up a good thing.

PS. I like Bynum a lot, but we are talking about Yao Ming who is finally in his prime....

    NO!

    McGrady under Adelman = Kobe

And we need that big guy cause havin' the best center in the NBA is really good. Duo McGrady Yao (inside and out game) works well

i can't help it I'm just a big Kobe Bryant fan so yes....the only problem I have is we want have a inside presence and that kind of make things hard for me.Honestly the only thing that that makes Yao touchable in my eyes are his turnovers....if it wasn't for that I wouldn't consider it even for Kobe.

another thing is our team has just about all the pieces we need to run any style against anybody. We would lose that because we wouldn't have a offensive inside presence.

Agreed, and as far Yao and T-Mac being dealt, it's not going to happen.

To see what everyone thinks about it, while I would not do it, the trade is certainly interesting and worth a discussion.

I am just curious to hear what other Rockets fans think about it.

No way. We'd just become another Denver.

    Carmelo/Iverson or Tmac/Kobe? Flip a coin.

What is the salary of Yao and kobe?

How much they can sell the tickets (kobe>Yoa), ad (Yao>kobe), more shoes ad for teammates (Yao>kobe) :D

So every owner will choose Yao.

Sure, Yao is a bad matchup when we play Utah or Phoenix, but against every other team in the league, Yao is the mismatch we can exploit.

Kobe is the best player in the world but he's got some ego issues.
Note how the Rockets bench is cheering for Tmac/Yao etc.
Note when Kobe is playing well, the bench is not really caring.

TMac AND Kobe? What's the point?

The Rockets without the Chinese ad revenue? Never going to happen.

I am a big yao fan, has his book, jersey. But I would trade him for kobe in a heart beat. Yao, as good as he is, were only "so so" in play offs, and let me put it this way:

If I were to play a pickup game of life and death, I would pick kobe over yao every single time.

I guess that the Rox need send Yao, Scola, and James to LA to match the kobe's salary. The Lakers's owner would be very happy to do it.

    Let's throw in Francis too.

Actually I don't think their games compliment each other because they are too similar but it sure would be fun to watch!

No way Kobe & T-mac works. No Way.

And as ya said, when = go big.

Plus, Management doesn't want to lose China, that would be suicide.
