Guys with Stevie Franchise's game being taken to another level this year and his seemingly beginning to mature as a basketball this year would you do this? Alot of people seem to think it would be a no brainer but I was curious.

I know its kinda hard to do a poll like this after such a great game but the consensus of lot of my Laker friends seem to think Rudy and the Rockets organization wouldnt think twice to do this trade.

I know I wouldnt do it.

No freaking way. Kobe and Steve are fine talents, but I cannot stand Kobe and his "MJ" complex when it comes to foul calls. The 2 he got under a minute in the 4th last night were debatable at best, and you could see Kobe(wannabe MJ) b****ing to the refs before overtime about it.

Steve will b**** to the refs too, but Kobe takes the cake. And his attitude comes off as cocky, arrogant, etc. From a basketball sense it would make sense, but since we are talking about very similar players-I'll keep the one I enjoy watching play for my team thank you very much.

And why do you start a poll like this after Steve carried us to a win over the Fakers-who were playing like they did in their title runs, I might add?

    No.

Steve is a much classier guy than Kobe is....this is why I like the rockets in general...they are a classy team! they have been for as long as I've been a fan!

As of right now, no. Because the trade would leave us w/o a PG. II do think Kobe is still better, though.

Ask rudy that question. He would take kobe in a second. Please look at kobes stats. How many triple doubles has francis had this season?None!Has he had 19 double doubles.Kobes stats speak for itself. This is a pretty dumb question. All of you would die to have kobe on your team but I guess being jealous and bias gets the best of some people.

Francis is not even close ot kobes level. You all know that!:p

I don't like Kobe as a person either. He's obnoxious, detached, and whiny. But if I was GM there is no way I would turn down a deal like this. I wouldn't want to lose my paycheck.

Could you imagine Kobe in ISO after ISO. He would score 40pts a game. Cat would score 30pts a game, Yao would get 10pts, 10reb, 6blocks per game and we would win the championship this year.

I still would do the trade.

Are you freaking kidding me? Anyone who wouldn't in my personal opinion would be nuts!!! Kobe? Cmon... I love Francis don't get me wrong, but Kobe? There is a reason that Lebron is being hyped up so much. It's because he is being compared to Kobe. I would trade Francis and Mobley for him in a hearbeat.

    Kobe Bryant??? Cmon...

bah...you obviously haven't seen Moochie Norris at work. Trading Francis for Kobe would put us in quite a quandary as to what to do at PG.

The stats are very close. Kobe is only a little bit better in all categories. Their strengths and weaknesses look very similar, it's just that Kobe is quite a bit taller than Steve.

the only reason Kobe stats looks better than Steve is there's no one else on the Lakers play basketball..i don't think they should be consider pro...Shaq and Kobe IS the whole Lakers team..they share points together..the team average about 98 points per game..split that in half..49 points for Shaq and Kobe...while the Rockets..you got Yao..Cuttino..Steve...and Eddie and Posey comebine for 25 points....so..to answer your question..HECK NO !!

I'm not a huge fan of Kobe as a guy, but as a player, he's awesome. Personally, I'm ecxtatic having Steve, but if someone offered me that trade, basketball-wise, I'd have to do it . . .

I don't like Kobe's demeanor and things like that.. but Kobe is obviously the better player. He is stronger, taller, and basically more skilled in every facets of the game than steve.

Also, I think kobe is younger too. I would probably trade steve for kobe. Maybe then trade kobe for mcgrady...

Look at it this way, both of them are great offensive players, but Kobe is one of the best defensive player, Francise's defense is below the average.

They both are play the floor leader role, but Kobe is much better than Francis at that. So I'd say it's a no-brainer.

kobe would not lead the rockets to there current record cause he would just iso all game long and not give it to ming, cause he would have no respect for him. i really dont think kobe has respect for shaq that is why they are lose a lot, steve has a lot more heart and will play hard all the time he showed it last year playing through migrains all year. plus steve is hitting all the shots in the clutch cant say the same for kobe (missed ft) mark my words kobe will not get anymore rings unless he comes to the rockets or the sac. kings, dallas wont win a championship cause there players r going to fold in the playoffs and they have no inside pressence unless they put dirk in the post.

so to answer ur question no i would not trade steve for kobe. kobe is a great individual player and his stats look like he is a team player but i have watched a lot of lakers games and kobe makes the same mistakes every game trying to make the fancy play and not the sure thing. steve is not the smartest basketball player but he knows when to take over plus he does not jack up as many shots as kobe he has never shot more than 28 shots in a game that is crazy for how many pts he scores he had 44 pts and only shot 22 shots thats the same amount kobe took and look at the box score. i think steve is one of the best players in the game and will be the best in a couple of years if he keeps on improving his game each year.

No, simply due to the fact Franchise has not won a title yet and still has that to strive for.
