Who's better? Mobley or Mike James?

I haven't seen Mike James play enough, but I wonder....

    Who's the better defender?

Definately James is a better and more consisted 3 point shooter, a better catch a shoot guy.

Looks like James is better at taking people off the dribble, though mobley has the better first step?

    Mobley's prolly a better slasher.

James seems to be smarter: doesn't jack up too many shots.

Mobley was too streaky as a shooter but kept shooting the rock, tried to shoot his way out of the slump and sometimes he did and a lot of times he didn't.

Question? would you trade Mike James back for Mobley?

At his price, I go for James every time.

There is no way Mike James is better at taking people off the dribble than Cat. Cat is one of the best at that. Cat is also a much better defender than James. I like them both, and quite frankly, wouldn't want to swap the two because we are playing so well with James.

James and Mobley do different things well. Cat can can take guys off the dribble and beat them to the hoop, or pull up and shoot. He's way better than James at that; however, James appears to be a better catch and shoot guy. Also he appears to have better court awareness and make better passes. James has a slight edge in 3pt. percentage, but I think Mobley is a better all around defender.

The Rockets just knocked off the #2, #3, #4 and #5 teams in the west and we're being asked to pick between Mobley and James?

Cat had the disease of thinking he was better than he really was, which killed us at times.

It may have been "Contributing Member on Crack", The Cat. :D

I like James and Mobley but I will go with James

The Rox need James more than they need Mobley. Both are fine players.

Regardless of who's better at taking folks off the dribble, isn't James a better fit considering the other role players on the team?

I loved Cat when he was here. It took me about a nanosecond, however, to select James's name and click "Submit".

James is a PG and that's what we need more than another SG right now, so I would take James without a doubt.

Agreed. However, Cat is the superior player; I don't know why some people are crapping on Cuttino. He has his flaws, but he's a very good second-tier SG.

    lol.
I achieved temporary notoriety for suggesting the hypothetical trades of Frances for Sura or James,
but Frances for Moochie. Poor guy. His stock is really really low...
