I would do it but I'm sure the wolves wouldn't. I'd even do Head/Snyder for Green.

If the guy can't get minutes on one of the worst teams in the league, that doesn't bode well for him. Jim Peterson said that he doesn't grasp concepts well. Yeah ... no thanks. I mean, we already have Kirk Snyder if we want a young, athletic wing player who can score but has a low basketball IQ.

i'm not one of head's biggest fans and i wouldn't even do this trade. green doesn't even look like he belongs in the nba and if he did you'd think he'd get playing time on the freaking t-wolves. head has weaknesses but he can shoot the ball and that's a skill that keeps him valuable.

Can someone tell me what has Gerald Green done in his NBA career to warrant a trade to a contending team and actually be part of the rotation?

But that's right, he looks so good dunking and being athletic and flashy. See Stromile Swift. Yeah, we surely have all the time in the world for him to reach his supposed potential. And he's from Houston, who doesn't want a hometown kid come here and exceling in his backyard, see Vince Young. Lotsa warm fuzzy moments are waiting for Gerald and Rockets fans.

Luther Head may have done alot of bonehead plays that have costed us games but he's in the rotation for a contending team. His outside shooting and his movement without the ball are very coveted skills in the NBA.

Gerald Green, just another clueless athletic non-rotational player in the NBA.

First you question the Rockets championships, then you want to give up our best proven shooter (who WILL develop that killer instinct) for a bench player on the worst team in the league. How young are you? pfff, liar

I bet you luther head wouldn't get playing time with the t-wolves. Stop being a Rocket homer and realize Luther is as good as he'll ever be(and that's not very good). Green on the other hand is only potential but a crap load more than luther ever will have because of his athleticism. Adleman can teach this kid how to play and T-Mac can tutor as well.

I am pretty sure the Wolves have made it clear they will not resign Green. The worst team in the frickin league will not sign Green. I am not saying Head is bad. I am saying Green must be worthless. But sweet, he is from Htown and he can dunk. Sweet.

First of all my age doesn't have anything to do with this thread. Second just becasue you're in love with Head doesn't mean I have to be.

In my opinion Green have what it takes to be a good player he just needs to play for the right coach to teach him the fundamentals of basketball. And I believe Rick is that coach becasue hes a player type coach.

Oh sweet Gerald Green just turned 22...last month. Luther just so happens to be 4 years older than him. Green=6'8 with loads of potential and athleticism. Head=combo guard with no handles and not so much athleticism at 6-3. Rockets head coach=known winner and teacher that brings out the best in players. T-pups coach= Randy Wittman...scrub coach. I like taking my chances with green in a rockets uniform. Sweet.

Gerald Green is the new Marko Jaric. I guess I'll never figure out this board's obsession with certain players.

The worst team in the entire league doesn't want him. That should tell you something. No, I wouldn't trade Luther for him.

And I think Luther Head blows and has no business on a contending roster.

That should tell you what I think of Gerald Green.

I would love to have Green, but not for Luther. I just don't think it's smart to trade away a proven player for potential when you're trying to win now.

So just sign the scrub to 3 million of the MLE. No one else is going to spend more. Why trade for him when he can just walk in a few months? Just wait it out then sign the scrub. It doesn't matter when we sign the scrub, he will always be there for the signing. Unlike Head who has shown he can shoot in the top 10 in 3point efficiency. That holds value.

This isn't about Head being so great. Its about a scrub being a scrub and the rest of the entire NBA realizing the same damn thing.

They are both in their third NBA season. -Green is firing at a 33% clip-

    Time will tell.
