Would you trade Head for Jack (off the Blazers)?

would you do it? Jack is a big strong combo guard type. Not a floor general but certainly a better dribbler than Head. Blazers have Blake, Roy and Rodriguez all able to run the point and can use a shooter.
Jack can be the needed backup point who can defend size unlike Rafer and AB.

Would it be a good idea to trade Head to get Jarret Jack off the Blazers?

no. we need vet pg help for the playoffs. if were gonna go with a young pg with no playoff experience then lets keep brooks in the rotation. i don't see why jack is much better than him anyway.

A realistic idea that makes sense for both sides. Not that I think Jack would be our savier or anything but this does make us better. With Francis out, Mike James in the doghouse and Brooks still shaky you need another guy out there that can handle the rock.

My question is who would we have taken on Draft Day 2005 if Luther and Jack both were available?

It would be a fair trade for both teams. We really have no use for Head and I didn't understand why he was getting all those minutes earlier in the season. Ever since he's been injured I didn't even notice he was MIA.

I knew him pretty well in college and was at all the games during the season Georgia Tech went to the National Championship. Jack was critical to that run and single handedly took over many games...Haven't seen him much since college, but he is an intense player who takes it personally if the team loses...Definetly a player who likes to win...Heart similar to Elie, etc...

I would trade Head for basically any player in the NBA with a similar contract. I honestly think Head is one of the worst players in the league.

Head has too many weaknesses that he will never overcome (e.g. his height and lack of PG skills). His one skill doesn't come close to making up for those weaknesses.

dude, he is far from one of the worst players in the league... not even close. it's obvious you don't like him, but look around at some of the bench riders and tell me that same thing

Off the top of my head....some guys similar to Luther that are worse.

    1. Smush Parker
    2. Salim Stoudamire
    3. Von Wafer
    4. Chris Quinn
    5. Shannon Brown

It's a tossup between the two. Depends on your personal preference, I suppose.

I would prefer Jack. I think it depends on how high we are on Aaron Brooks.

Luther head is the epitome of clueless with the ball in his hands. Plug him in to Shooting guard and let Rafer or AB dribble the rock.

Luther Head finds his way into more baseline double teams and steals i have EVER seen in my life. Thank GOD he can shoot because he would be out of a job.

Jack is a decent alternative but I would much rather have someone that can teach AB the ropes like Cassel or better yet...gimme Delonte West.

You gotta be kidding. I would take all of those guys over Head except for Smush because of his current off the court issues.

I am not saying that any of these guys are great but Head is just simply not NBA material. Quinn and Stoudamire are servicable, young PGs while Wafer and Brown are bigger and more versatile SGs than Head.

If Smush was his normal self, I would even take him over Head. He is a big PG that would have more value to any team than Luther "The One-Dimensional Midget SG" Head.

I would probably make the trade.
