I think this is pretty difficult.

From a talent perspective they are both even. We have the more traditional fit with SG and C. Durant though is the best player out of all 4.

    I rank them

    1. Durant
    2. Dwight
    3. Harden
    4. Westbrook

However in truth, these last 3 players (dwight, harden, westbrook) are all damn close together in quality. It's actually a pretty solid toss-up if you ask me.

From a fit perspective though, Asik would move back into the starting rotation if we lost Dwight, and he'd be pretty great next to Durant and WB.

The only concern is Morey would have to trade Lin, Parsons for a solid SG and PF. It could be done, but would require more work.

    OKC though would have

    Jackson
    Harden
    PJIII?
    Ibaka
    Dwight

Both teams actually probably get a worse due to the trade because the teams aren't built around the key players yet.

In a heart beat. Durant is the best out of the 4 by a huge margin. And Westbrook is a top 5 player.

    Lin
    WestBrook
    Parsons
    Durant
    Asik

I rather Dwight and Harden just because I think they fit better together. And having an elite big is huge.

Howard and Harden have far less overlaps in their role and they both cover the main priorities of a team. Post presence on offense, post defense, rebounding presence, playmaking, elite dribble penetration, strong perimeter shooting and great PnR combination.

Durant and Westbrook would have far deadlier offense, but they have a lot of overlaps, and they don't cover a lot on defense and rebounding.

If I was starting a team from scratch I would prefer Dwight and Harden. If the team already has a solid center (Along the likes of Gortat or Asik) then I would go with Durant and Westbrook.

Not even close, harden Howard all day. By mid season people will be asking if harden was the best player on okc. Howard just 2 seasons ago was the 2nd best player in the game. Westbrook is a great player but harden and Durant have all time great potential. Howard is currently one of a kind in the league right now. Theirs quite a few good athletic scoring pgs like Russell. Elite sgs and c? Only 2 right now harden and Howard and their already on the team lol. Enjoy what we have okc window has closed the west is too good with the rockets and clippers taking huge steps this offseason.

Nah. Howard is an elite defensive big, Durant and WB are good defenders/rebounders but cannot and will not ever be able to replace him on that end.

Durant with Howard would be a scary duo.

This I wouldn't. Harden will be top 5 after this year and Dwight was, and my still be. Durant and wetsbrook are, the problem is,wb is a great pg/sg and top 10 player himself, but there are plenty of top pgs nowadays whereas there is a lack of great centers..

If you change the title to "which duo would you think better..." we might have a good thread here.

Trade? Hello no. They are great and have great chemistry as part of the Rockets team.

It's probably worth noting that Durant/ Westbrook have great chemistry themselves (over quite a number of years)
