Would have traded him during the offseason... so yes, I'd look at a trades. I'd focus on NFC team (other than DAL). SF and SEA would be two I would talk to... they are sputtering and apt to give up more than usual. I'd also contact the Giants, Bears, and Packers (love to see him with Rogers).
I think that's about right and it's not like he's been burning it up on the field.... I still think they could have fetched a 2nd or 3rd for him if they traded him during the off-season... But that's just a guess.
May as well trade him. I'm tired of him, get rid of him. AJ hasn't played well over the past 2-3 seasons. Seems like he's just going through the motions and not really caring. Yeah he has nice career stats, but honestly...the guy is one of the most overrated wide receivers in the NFL. Over the past few years, top receivers have had more touchdowns than AJ has, with worse quarterbacks than Schaub and Fitzpatrick and worse coaches than Kubiak and O'Brien.
Teams have traded head coaches for first round draft picks... maybe Smith is worth a high pick. Oh wait, we'd have to include our high pick to get a another organization to take Smith. Hmm... still seems worth it. Make it so.
I agree with this concept. Assuming it's just a 4th that can move up to a 3rd (they wouldn't agree to a 2nd) or, I wonder if they'd give us Jermaine Kearse straight up. Probably not worth it, but he'd immediately be a #2 here.. and help them compete this year. And they have Richardson ready to go
I would, unfortunately, trade him. He's one of the few athletes I'll continue to pull for even after Houston is no longer on his jersey. Send him somewhere he'd have a chance to win (preferably in the NFC).
Don't be so sure. Last off-season they had every reason to *not* trade him. Now? Not so much. Why not trade him and get something for him before you cut him anyway?
Dont replace Andre with Amari Cooper just yet  I think Dre will be back just at a cheaper price after they restructure his deal.
I like Cooper a lot but I doubt we take him with our 1st pick, and I don't think he'll drop to the 2nd.
