If the Bucks would not accept Sengun would you trade Amen if that was the only way to get Giannis?

So many want Giannis and are willing to trade away Alpi. What if the Bucks wanted Amen instead? Would you still want Giannis??

Personally, I would not trade Alpi or Amen.

I would trade any player we had for Giannis. Why do people find this so difficult. Show me the player on the Rockets averaging this over the last 3 years?

Giannis is an MVP level player, we don't have anybody who comes close. He isn't "past it" he's in the middle of his prime, he's literally averaging almost 30/12/7 you realise that's an MVP in almost any year that doesn't have Jokic going crazy, right? Y'all are ****ing weird man, it's not an insult to Alpi that other players exist who are better than him, seriously, **** off with this bullshit already it's past tired.

You said, "If the Bucks wouldn’t accept Sengun." Why wouldn’t they? Are the folks in Milwaukee part of the anti-Sengun club too?

Look, Amen is the most unique piece the Rockets have. He's versatile, unpredictable and electric. Even though he's the only untouchable on the team, I wouldn't rule anything out, but I’d move heaven and earth to keep him.

But Sengun? If you’re bringing in Giannis, who already thrives in that same role and space, it makes Sengun more expendable. It's a large upgrade and a matter of fit.

This is all hypothetical. The Rockets are not dumb enough to trade 22 year old budding superstars (both Alpi & Amen) for a near 31 year old current superstar. I am just curious to see how stupid our fans are.

It's a no from me for the same reasons I posted in the Sengun thread. I don't think the timing lines up very well, I don't think Giannis career is going to go much longer, and I don't think the fit is good. I would only ever trade for Giannis if I thought the fit here was perfect, and we could drop him in and contend right away. I don't think that's the case for this roster.

He’s not the most unique. Alp is the most unique.
Amen has the most relatable NBA skillset. Athleticism and length

And it’s still a firm NO on Amen or Alp

Ah, so this wasn’t really an open conversation. It's just a Sengun supporter setting a trap. Understood.

And I suppose in this scenario, the Milwaukee Bucks are just stupid too.

Of course it was never about an open conversation. They've all just been butthurt for a couple days because some of us would dare to say "yes" to trading a 20/10/5 guy for a 30/12/6 guy because apparently that's the most heinous thing in the world.

The only stupid ones are the fans who would do it. I do find it curious that you are implying the Bucks would be stupid to trade Giannis for Amen but not for Sengun.

I feel like the Bucks might ask for Amen AND Alpy for Giannis.

If there were no picks involved, I'd strongly consider it. Not sure which way I would go though - the problem of success with young players!!!

I never implied anything of the sort. Your poll begins with the assumption: "If the Bucks wouldn't accept Sengun."

By the logic you've laid out in this one-sided discussion, that would make Milwaukee "stupid" for passing on him.

Do you realize that Alpi will be more than a 20/10/5 guy when he reaches his prime? By making such a trade you shorten what will be a 10+ year window when Alpi and Ameen turn around 25 to a 4-5 year window. Why in the world would anyone do that? Thankfully Stone is not that stupid.

This is a thread about Amen traded for Giannis I thought? Why are you still crying about Alpi, wrong thread? (Oh right, it's because this thread is just you throwing a hissy fit over people thinking Giannis is better than Alpi - he is, miles better, it's not remotely close at all.)

Blasphemy, Jokic is older than 22 so he can't possibly be worth what Alpi's worth because Alpi's the GOAT in future, DUH! (genuinely how SOF's look to rational people.)

No, not with Jokic being 30. I would if he were 26 or younger. It is the same thing with Giannis, it shortens the window.

Yeah, players that rely on athleticism age a bit roughly at times. They are a knee or back injury from becoming washed.

If this was Jokic, yes, Jokic is a guy who could be playing at a high level at 35.

Giannis might but I think it's a risk.

Like is anyone talking about how Amen couldn't shoot the first year and now he's hitting mid range shots and even is able to hit a three? In ONE year? If Amen gets a mid range jumper he becomes prime Kawhi.
