Let's say someone was getting robbed and no one else was around. Would you ignore it or get involved?

Whoever says NO is wrong.

If it's against the law, and you don't step in, you're a lawbreaker, too.

Depends on what it is, and where I am, and how many. I would likely use my car as a weapon too. Gun < Car ...unless gun shoots driver, but then it could end up - gun = car

    Depends.

Chances of me intervening are higher if it's a girl or child than a guy. Even higher if they're getting physically abused or raped. But it's easy to say than do. It's just one of those things that come instinctively at the moment.

The bystander effect or Genovese syndrome is a social psychological phenomenon that refers to cases where individuals do not offer any means of help in an emergency situation to the victim when other people are present. The probability of help has in the past been thought to be inversely related to the number of bystanders; in other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help.

You should be more specific of the situation.

If there's a gun involved I wouldn't risk my life for a stranger.

Armed robberies don't usually happen in broad daylight with witnesses.

If they are armed and dangerous. Hell no. If it won't get me killed, sure.

I would not step in to stop a yogurt crime, or other crimes involving a "gun."

    Again Depends

    1. Is the robber or aggressor physically stronger than me and wielding a weapon.
    2. Is the victim a woman or children.
    3. How many people are there around me.

If the aggressor, or aggressors are physically much stronger than me and is not attacking a woman a child, I will not physically intervene but will call 911 right away.

If the aggressor, or aggressors are attacking a woman or child, I will cal 911 first and then intervene physically, in hope of directing their attention to me and let the victim to run away (and if they start to attack me, I will run away and they probably won't catch me (ran track in high school lol)).

I did once when two gay guys were having a feud. I turned the corner in high traffic pub scene, and stepped right into it, and one boy was trying to escape. I got into the other boy's face as a way to let the other escape, and I got body slammed by coke fueled **** like a sucker punch. There is a cfnet post I made about how a shrimp gay boy body slammed me.

but yeah...maybe won't intervene again.....but probably will. Next time,, no homos

Depends on whether or not the criminal is a midget.

Regardless of what anyone in this thread says, until you are actually confronted with the situation, you don't know what you will do. You may know what you HOPE you would do, but you can't say for sure until you are in that situation.

Yeah..I would get involved by calling the police.
Let them take care of it. That is their job.
