I think he would be a solid backup for Yao. He's a great rebounder and defender still. He has the same problem as Yao though, which is injury prone.

    He'd be a good backup.

He'd be a very short term investment.

I'm looking for more of a long term. A player that can grow with Brooks, Lowry, Wafer, and Landry.

Dorsey could still grow into the back-up, but as of now, he's still raw.

I would absolutely sign him. I've mentioned his name a few times over the last two years.

    LOL NO

His knees are shot and we need to start bringing up talent to prepare for the worst.

How do you judge? I mean, I don't even see him on the floor, even during garbage time.

He played in the playoffs, more minutes than Dalembert if you didn't know. He was the MPG leader for centers on the 76ers, not to mention 76er fans even said Ratliff is better and more productive than Dalembert, probably because they all hate how cocky Dalmebert is.

yes, no doubt. i'd play him before playing brian sticky-finger cooks. homeboy has to put up a shot every time he touches the ball.

No. I'd much rather develop a rookie with potential....first we'll start him out as a back up and in the future slowly bring him in...realistically I can see Yao playing till he's 34, so that's like 5 years of bench time for whoever we draft at the 5-spot, then once Yao retires we hand over the reigns to the starting position.

If it was healthy 4-5 years younger Thea Ratliff absolutely. But we dont' need another older injury prone player on the squad.

drafting a 7 footer late in the 1st round or in the 2nd round is unrealistic. As bad as they honestly be, size is pretty important to the league especially to lottery teams.

I wouldn't mind trying Joey Dorsey either, but is he is a power forward or a center? I would like to try Theo, for maybe 1 or 2 years. It's not going to be a big risk anyways, I'm sure he'd rather play for a contender than some garbage team and get paid. He's already been doing that when he was injured. :p

I believe you are referring to Malick Badianne (I probably spelled that wrong, but oh well) I think the Rockets GM forgot all about him...

This would be a Mutombo pt.2 move. Not the type of player that is suitable for Rick Adelman's offense.

All these guys would take the full MLE or more. We don't have the money to get guys like this.
