Would you say we have a plethora of good players surrounding Yao? (Hopefully Bosh as well)

Would you say that our plethora of role players can count on Yao to perform like a star (Bosh or no Bosh)?

Forgive me, BrooksBall. I know that I, knote32, do not have your superior intellect and education. But could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?

Once again? When was the first time?

Don't take it personally, jefe. I just meant it as a comment for anybody to ponder. It wasn't only directed at you and it wasn't made out of anger.

Does it matter? It's pretty much a gamble. Yao either performs like a star or he'll suck. It's not like there's anything Morey, Adelman, or the fans can do anything about it.

Complaining about Yao's injury is pointless.

Spiegel, you do not understand superstars. You cannot force open the petals of a flower. When the flower is ready, it opens itself up to you.

So you're saying he's crap because he can't be healthy. Yet another team will give us value for him because...?

Either Yao can play, in which case we should keep him to make our team better. Or he can't play(as you infer), in which case he has no trade value because no one else will want him.

When did i say he is crap?. I said he is an Injury waiting to happen. Nowhere did i insinuate he is crap. The point is he will be on the decline and it's the right time to get something now that he can still be productive then in 2 years when he'll probaly have to retier.

What's the difference? When has there ever been an injured player who's also productive? Those are inherently contradictory ideas. Either he can be healthy and productive next season, or he is crap.

And name a player we can get for Yao that will make us more likely to win a championship next year? One where the opposing GM won't laugh in our face for thinking of such a lopsided deal.

Putting talent around Yao won't make him anymore aggresive or intelligent.

    agreed. The ignorance is disgusting.

I love how this thread makes it look like the players we put around Yao vindicate him of his responsibility.

Its never his fault, just those around him.
