Griffin+Rice+Collier to Golden State for Dampier+Sura
trade accepted by RealGM trade checker

the twin-tower of Yao/Dampier would donminate in the middle even against Shaq. Dampier is much bigger and stronger than Eddie and also more experienced. He's as good a shot-blocker as Eddie and yet a better rebounder (especially offensive reb.) Eddie might develop into a better offensive player but we don't need it w/ Yao, Steve, Cat, & Taylor on the team. Dampier gives us a physical player to help Yao Ming to bang inside, especially when play against Shaq. here's Dampier's #s this year:
    in 27min. avg. 10pt / 8reb (3.5off) / .7asi / 2.58blk on .509 FG%
    that transfer to 15pt / 12reb / 1asi / 4blk if given 41min/g
the other three players' contract all expiere after next season.
    our line-up could be:

    Yao Ming, Cato
    Dampier, Taylor
    J. Posey, Nachbar, Morris
    Mobley, Hawkins, Sura
    Francis, Norris

it'll make us a heavy-weight contender this season!

 I don't get it. you meant that makes our team worse? why?

GS always want to dump Dampier's contract and they got a good young talant in Eddie Griffin. we got someone can immidiately help against the league's premier big men. move Rice also gives more PT for Boki to develop his game. sounds good for both teams isn't it?

Team Chemistry......Continuous player changes simply delay development of any team. A team as young as the Rockets needs all the playing time together they can get.
We dont need Dampier or Sura, and we dont need to get rid of anybody.

Griffin himself is worth more than Dampier and Sura.

    Sorry man.

That is the most stupid trade I have ever heard of.

    Why trade Griffin.

Collier and Rice let them be gone but why would we want Dampier anyway.

Don't like that trade. Griffin is going to be very important to this team in the future. He all ready blocks shots like crazy, and he is starting to take it to the hoop. I'm not so sure this team needs anymore trades, I would just like to build some real good team chemistry.

That is a BAAAAAAD trade idea. Dampier is not a PF, and I doubt I would trade Griffin and Collier for Sura and Dampier.

    Horrific.

The only 2 players on the Warriors team I would want are Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas.

BAD Trade idea, really a no no.
Griffen alone has more potential than Dampier & Sura, plus Rice is off the books next year. I've always said we needed an enforcer which Dampier seems to be, but not worth giving up on Griffen. Plus if we trade Griff, whose our power forward since KT was just traded. MoTay is still not in game condition, yet.

You want to start Dampier at PF?

No thanks. Like others said, Griffin is worth more than those two by himself.

ok, seems like no one wants to trade Griffin. but I said Yao / Dampier twin tower, that means start both Yao and Dampier and have Cato and Taylor back them up. I was thinking Yao and Cato start at 4 & 5 but then we don't have a back up center that's why I bring up the idea of trade for Dampier. for those who think Griffin is much better than Dampier, like I said, Griffin might "develop" into a better offensive player but currently Dampier is much better in every catagary. here's the comparisons:

    E. Griffin: 24min / 8.3pt on .392% / 5.7reb / 1.91 blk
    Dampier: 27min / 9.7pt on .503% / 7.8reb / 2.48 blk

I have to admit that Eddie might have more trade value though, maybe we can ask for more (draft picks?) but my point is you don't always look for the better talant, you want player to "fit" your needs. our offense should be designed on Yao Ming, with Steve complement, and Cat the 3rd option. we also have Taylor come off the bench to provide Offense @ 4 spot. what we need from our starting power forward should be denfense and rebounding and I think Dampier is better than Eddie in those area. what Eddie better than Dampier (shooting 3s, turnaround Js) are the less we need from our starting power forward.
If my proposal is Griffin+something for Gasol you guys might like it because Gasol is a great talant but that really not what we need. after the Posey trade I think we already a contender and come playoffs time the Lakers still the team to beat. by the time Dampier really can help.

also in other threads many of you would consider play Cato next to Yao Ming, but actually Dampier is better than Cato (shot blocking, offensive rebound, offensive moves), and we still have Cato to back Yao Ming up. again a better talant not always a better fit to a team. don't get me wrong, Eddie is a good one but just feel that Dampier provides more what we need.

I can't see how you think Dampier fits this team better than Eddie.

Regardless of team chemistry, I like Eddie more. Much more upside; more versatile. Dampier's rebounding isn't strong enough to compensate for anything (he barely gets more than Stevie).

he avg. 7.8 rebounds in only 27 min/g and 3.4 of them are offensive. good enough for #4 in the league. that's "barely" more than Stevie? while Eddie only gets 5.7/g in similary PT? OK, seems like not too many people here knows Dampier's game. I'm not going to watse my time repling on this topic.
