Sure I would, if it tasted good. I don't espouse it as a good idea, though. There are species that would be extinct if not raised for meat/skin. (Sheep come to mind.) And I personally think that farming, ranching, and hunting develops good character. I think agriculture is generally good for the planet, but I will eat whatever I like.

As the article says: cleaner, cheaper, healthier. I'm sure higher, more consistent quality.

I'm all for it. Stuff like this never bothered me in the least...

Considering I'm half Cantonese meat without feet isn't going to be a problem for me. Although they should make some synthetic chicken feet while they are at.

This isn't a new idea. For decades I've heard about people looking to engineer meat, or meat like substances, out of cultured cells from actual meat animials, bacteria or algae.

If this type of synthetic meat gains widespread acceptance I doubt sheep will be extinct. There will likely always be people raising farm animals for a boutique market or hobby farms. Like wild horses many of these animals might just end up surviving as feral remanent populations

Ya those Cantonese will eat anything that move or not move :p I don't think I would have a problem with it. Then we can raise cows as pets instead of meat.

I don't eat meat currently. But I do eat fish. And I'm just less than a year into my no meat diet. My guess is that long-time vegetarians would probably still not eat this, as at this point they just have no desire for the taste anyway.

Personally, I'd probably go back to eating meat in this case...after some considerable testing mind you, but I will never go back to consuming meat in the same manner as I used to. It would be occasional and in smaller portions - Americans consume way way way too much meat.

it's not considered red meat or white meat, so no, it's fish.

you can be a pescetarian and only eat fruits, veggies, nuts fish and seafood.

That is what I've been for the past 3 weeks and I will continue until I lose the weight I need to lose.

Not eating meat eliminates my craving for most fast food, so my reasons are purely health reasons.

When I get down to where I need to be, I'll probably go back to enjoying a nice juicy steak on occasion.
