    Before Les Alexander messed with the classics:

    Then Les Alexander wanted to change our uniforms cause he thought they were ugly. Les's creation.(UGLY UNIFORMS THAT STEVE FRANCIS IS WEARING)

    Then after we got Yao, Les decides we need to change it up.. 'for the new arena'

    -Whatever, we know why know its back to red. he and david stern knows where the money is coming from.

    If Les owned the Celtics he would have them wear Purple clown outfits.
    He would make the Lakers uniform a Cosby sweater.

    I think thats a bit of a stretch... and besides, Yao isn't even the top jersey seller in China (due in part to market saturation)

    doesn't mean Les didn't think about it.

    before 250 million people thought our uniforms were ugly

    then Yao, that 1billion plus 250 million people who thought the uniforms were ugly

    I liked all the jerseys. Call me a homer but thats the way I am. Of course, the classic ones were the best but I honestly had no problems with the last two. I can proudly say I own multiple jerseys of all three versions of the Rockets jerseys.

    I don't see what's everyone's problem with the current jerseys. I think they're one of the better ones in the league.

    If Les Alexander owned the Lakers, and he changed the uniforms to the Steve /Cuttino jerseys, Jack would have gone "the Shining" on him. His house would have burn down like in the LA Riots by the fans.

    You're opinion on the jerseys is your own taste. It doesn't mean everyone else has the same opinion as you.

    I agree the pinstripe jerseys were disgusting, however I really like the Yao Era jersey. Mainly because it is red, which is what our colours SHOULD be.

    Now i think we should scrap the silver and bring back the gold. I know it may look a little 'chinese national team' however the Championship winning rockets were red and gold, and I feel that those colours are what conjure up memories of the rockets franchise.

    I like these jerseys. I thought the blue jerseys were a bit childish. These are simple, and powerful down to the font of the jerseys. I love these jerseys.

    let me brief you on Rockets history, the Rockets uniforms were red for many many years. Les Alexander CHANGES the uniforms to the clown outfits AFTER we win our TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS. it stays the same after public decry of ugliness, even our own players, Charles Barkley kept saying its ugly.

    We get Yao and then shortly our uniforms turn back to red, a different shade of red too.

    superstition? or marketing?

    Tin, usually I like your retro style threads, but this one erks me. I like the old uni's, and I really don't think the change had anything to do with Yao. Whatever.

    'UGLY UNIFORMS' . Uniforms being plural, ie. both the pinstripe and the yao era uniforms.

    Some above average communication skills would help in this thread.

    is it not obvious which uniforms are ugly? i changed it for you. next time i write i thread, i have to remember that a whole bunch of you appeared post pinstripes.

    oh, uniforms =home and away. uniform = home. uniform=away.

    We (Les) went from red to BLUE then back to red??

    I absolutely think the uniforms changed because of Yao. I'm glad Yao is from China or we'll never see the color red in houston again.

    we didn't change it cause of the Toyota Center. You didn't have to live in another side of the world to see that the pinstripes were trash.

    I've found no relationship between our form uniforms and Yao or les. It's not a idea that can hold much water that yao's changed our uniforms. Take a look at the state flag of texas and search some similarities between the flag and the "ugly uniform", then it's gonna be easy to get why les invented such a suite of uniforms. after dream leaving rockets team, Les wanted a new start with changing the uniforms but it didn't work. Our bad status brought us the No.1 pick for 02, but the bad news was that Dawson drafted Yao instead of A Stoudmire. Les wanted to change the rockets' bad luck and acquire a new start with a newly drafted no.1 draft, so he have a new suite of uniforms invented. Yes, something has changed since Yao joined rockets, but we still haven't broken into the sencond round by now.
    What if Dawson selected A stoudmire? a new thread started.
