Saw someone mention Bonzi " thug " Wells on one of the other posts. Is he still available and is it realistic for us to get him? I would actually rather have Bonzi than MJ if I had to choose. And whats up with calling him thug...does he have a past that warrants that? educate me

Granted that its not a likely scenario, but he is going to be opting out of his contract next year.

More than anything else, I just wanted to find out if other members think of how he would fit with this team....

i heard he threatened a sports writer by saying that if he didn't stop writing negative stories about him he would meet with an accident, the writer asked if he was threating him and Bonzi's reply was he wasn't stupid enough to do anything to the writer himself but that he had a big posse, allegedly.

Bonzi is looking for a 9-10m/yr contract, we aren't getting him.

hahah We could actually use a guy like that on the Rox, except directed at other teams but seriously, he is offensively talented, can rebound and experienced...exactly what we need imo.

    From: http://www.hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

Kings talking to Pacers about getting back Jeff Foster and Sarunas Jasikevicius for Bonzi in a sign and trade.

Not that the Rockets really have anything better to offer, BUT don't the Rockets have anything better to offer?

We could offer Juwan, Luther and Bob Sura maybe. Don't know if that really helps us, though.

I think we need to explore moving Luther Head for Dirk.

And most importantly, he can perform in the playoffs as seen in the Kings vs. Spurs series last year... He was carrying the kings in that series....

No...you're right on target. The Kings are looking for a good PF to back up Kenny Thomas and Abdur-Rahim. And they are really stoked about getting Luther because they really wanted back to back picks in the 2005 draft when they picked Francisco Garcia just ahead of Luther.

Haha...got that right. And on top of it all, the Astros STILL can't close out a game, and Berkman hit 3 in the Home Run Derby? What type of crap is that?? ;)
