I was reading an article on the Houston Rockets ESPN message board and a guy wanted the Rockets to trade Walt Williams and Cuttino Mobley for Larry Hughes. I definetely would not want to trade Cuttino Mobley and Walt Williams. Do you think the Rockets should do this deal? ------------------
No!!! But if the Warriors threw in Antwain Jamison instead of Hughes, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would even throw in some draft picks for their troubles. ------------------ Houston Rockets Forever!! In Rudy We Trust
I would definitly do this deal. Larry Hughes would be great for this team. ------------------ You ain't gotta like me, you just mad cause I tell it how it is, and you tell it how it might be.
Hughes and Mobley are essentially the same player. I see no reason to swap them and even less to lose Williams in the process. ------------------ http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
I would assume that since Mobley would agree to do the sign and trade that probably would mean that Cuttino doesn't want to play here anymore so why not do the deal instead of having Cuttino leave and us getting nothing in return. ------------------ You ain't gotta like me, you just mad cause I tell it how it is, and you tell it how it might be.
Why would Cuttino sign with the Rockets if they were planning on trading him? Why not just sign with Chicago, Toronto, or Orlando. Those are the only teams that will offer him more. I think it's time to stop all of this Cuttino talk. He's not going anywhere. I guarentee it. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight [This message has been edited by Rocketsauce (edited July 12, 2000).]
You guys are grossly overrating Mobley's value. Larry Hughes is going to be a SUPERSTAR and Mobley is going to be a SOLID player. Quite frankly on individual play there are a number of people I would have rather had either in this draft or Free Agency, but it would not be smart to tamper with chemistry. After so many years in coaching Rudy has just realised the power of team chemistry. Anyhow I would like to keep Mobley especialy because of Steve but Mobley is not as great as you see him. I would MUCH rather have Larry Hughes(I have season Tickets to the Warriors so I watch both the Rockets and Warriors as well as many other teams)I would take Dereck Anderson of the Clippers over the Cat in a heartbeat and I would have much rather drafted Courtney Alexander than Pryz(aka Collier). But chemistry comes into play and thats why Mobley is more valueable to Rudy than those other players. P.S. DJ if we got Hughes for Walt Williams and Cuttino Mobley that would be one of the most lopsided trades in the history of the NBA, not even the Warriors are that dumb. ------------------ "We need to fockass".....Dream back in the day
