Weisbrod is a moron, but at least he got his team Franchise, Cat, and Cato. What did Ainge get for Walker? Lafrentz is more filler then he is the main guy from the other team, he sucks. I can't think of anything good Ainge has ever done for Boston. I voted Ainge.
oooooooooooooooooo I'm kicking myself for missing him. Of course, Crumbs was the architect of the real fiascos: clearing out the champs, then kicking out Brand for his HSers.... Evan
Gotta be Paxon. Let's look..since he took over our team back in 1999 i believe, here's what we've had: -0 All-Star representatives -0 Playoff appearances -1 noteworthy superstar -4 different coaches (i think?) NOT a good track record for ol' Paxon.
Nah, you are fine. Think about Atlanta, LAC, Chicago... When you guys really sucked, you got LeBron. When they really sucked, they got no one. However, the Boozer thing's got to hurt... ouch!
What Rick Sund did for the Mavs is infamous. He just kept drafting allstar 3s, hoping one of them could play the 5 (their big need for the longest time) eventually. Go figure. [Edit: Hope this like make more sense or something]
Just to continue being a Rod Thorn nutrider, why the hell is he up there? He owned us with the Griffin trade, owned Phx with the Kidd trade, has drafted well, and turned a perennial loser into a near-champion.
How the hell is Rod Thorn on this list? He did an amazing job with the Nets up until this year when the pressure of the new ownership is forcing him to make some changes he is less than thrilled about. I.E. Getting rid of Kenyon Martin for a pack of bubblegum and some change. Elgin Baylor and Jim Paxson are pretty terrible. Scott Layden was a horrible GM in New York. It looks like Isiah Thomas is equally terrible but he's been there for such a short period I don't know if it's fair to judge him yet. Same goes for Danny Ainge. He appears to be doing a horrible job but he hasn't been in control of the reigns there in Boston all too long either. I'd have to flip a coin on either Elgin Baylor or Jim Paxson and since Jim Paxson isn't on the list (which absolutely baffles me) I'll vote for Elgin Baylor by default.
Maybe it is his tendancy to gamble on old big men and get burned maybe? Not saying he's the worst NBA GM but he has gotten bashed several times along his way. The Zo signing was especially stupid IMO.
He didn't get burned on Mutumbo, I mean Mutumbo sucked and all, but at least he unloaded Kieth Van Horn for him. I'd rather have one bad year with mutombo and be done with him rather than be still paying KVH's contract.
who's the wizards GM? ive been in DC for 4 years and I don't even know who he is because he sucks so much. That franchise has been a disaster ever since its existance.
