Worst case scenario for the next few years - pessimism road

    Rockets play consecutive seasons with Tracy regularly being limited/put in the IL for back spasms and Yao never works out from being a second tier All-Star;

    However, the Rockets end each season with a winning record and a high seeding - everybody calls their season an excellent season for getting a winning season because the team made up for the lack of talent with effort.

    Rockets exit in the first round because of the lack of talent and effort.

    Rockets then get a low pick.

    Rockets pick a mediocre player who fits into the system but clearly lacks talent.

    Here is my senario

    JVG leaves, Battier, Hayes, and Rafer turn instantly to useless baggage, Yao is forced to changed his game to a high post attack and is asked to take 3's. TMAC is taken off the floor on a stretecher again, JHo is the cornerstone of our offense.

    We trade TMAC and a few others for KG and more scrubs. KG has problem with Yao being #1 and asks for a trade. :p

    worst case scenario during the pregame huddle they all tumble on each other like domino's and the resulting 19 torn ACLs forces houston to forfeit the game and the following season.

    I tried to imagine a worst case scenario, but I kept coming back to the New Orleans Hornets. Nothing could be worse than what those fans have went through.

    That's why I said JVG was too good for this team.

    Last year was a perfect year for Rox to tank to get the top 3 picks. Unfortunately, the team still wanted to win, ended up with the Gay for Battier. With a lesser coach, Rox definitely will grab Roy.
