Sean Elliot, Tom Tolbert, John Thompson, the Jazz announcers, the Spurs announcers, the Kings announcers, and the Suns announcers, all are terrible.
Sean Elliott and Tom Tolbert are the worst by far. Elliott is completely biased towards the Spurs, and Tolbert seems to hate every team but the Mavs, Fakers, and Kings.
EASY question. the whole ABC team....al michaels is just OK. but yea. the whole ABC team needs to like..die..
I actually like Kerr... He's not nearly as biased as Sean Elliot. Who's the play-by-play guy for Miami? Can't stand him. Fratello makes their broadcasts bearable. Memphis' announcers are pretty bad too. With Chick Hearn gone there really aren't any good announcers left, except for Hot Rod Hundley(the only thing good about the Jazz) and Bill and Calvin.
I hate Sean Elliot the most because he is the guy likes to kiss Duncan and Lebron's ass, like they are his masters.
Why? I normally mute the TV, but today I was listening and he was so damn annoying and repetitive. Plus he has a very bad TV voice. I miss Hubie. I like Kenny Smith as an analyst. Van Gundy wasn't bad. Most of the guys just aren't that great. The analysts do analysis for 3rd graders and the comedy guys aren't as good as Chuck.
SEAN ELLIOT SUX. THE GUY HAS LIKE NO EXPRESSION AT ALL. SOMETHING ABOUT HIS FACE THAT ANNOYS ME. The Fakers announcers make me sick. All they the keep talking about is how much of a hero kobe is for playing thru all his legal troubles. Please! and how big and strong Shaq is when he dunks
I have no problems with local announcers do that, heck, Bill and Calvin are huge homers too. But when TNT's announcers kissing Kobe's butt on national tv like crazy really made me sick. When game is only on TNT, I usually mute the tv, and turn on the radio listen to Gene Peterson.
Sean Elliott is the worst. Does he still live in San Antonio and call games for the Spurs? Seems when the Rox were on national TV that Sean was always the announcer sent to cover the games, and he just rips on the Rockets. Now, a lot of what he says is true (they don't know how to win, they don't know how to close out games) but he would dog the team from start to finish. On the occasions that Walton was with him (too often), they would try to out-do the other in Rockets slams (Walton loves Yao but loves the Lakers even more). So I'll give my vote to Sean Elliott. Guy drives me crazy.
Let me see, Doc is repetive but you like Hubie Brown. Who invented this phrase, "He has tremendous upside." And talk about bad voices, nothing's worse than JVG's "I've been partying for 33 days straight" voice.
All of ABC except for Walton(is Walton even with them anymore?). I still maintain the theory that Tolbert is some NBA executive's secret w****.
Walton is by FAR the worst. He'll say something like "Steve Francis was sent by God to bring the basketball world to its knees" and two minutes later "How did Steve Francis make the NBA?". If I were a player my first interview would go like this:"Yeah, I'm really happy to have been drafted and I look forward to the upcoming season. Oh yeah, Walton if youre listening Im gonna *** you up when I see you". Al Michaels is ok, but he cant get through a whole game without talking football or comparing basketball to football.
