Is anybody worried that we’ll take Amen Thompson who supposedly can’t shoot?

I think amen will go number 3

I think millers extracurricular stuff dropped him too much for him to go 3 still

Just watched Amen’s highlights and he has an awful outside shot. Hitch in his shot doesn’t look fixable. Would definitely take Cam Whitmore. Amen reminds me of KPJ with no outside shot. Ben Simmons without the handles. Not impressed.

very scared the Rockets would draft Amen. I hope Miller falls somehow. Scoot would be better too but Portland is taking him to replace Dame later

I think Amen would compliment Green well. Likely could learn a bit from Harden, in regards to the things he already does well.

I'd much rather have Scoot though.

I'm terrified. We should avoid the Thompson twins at all costs. I'd rather try to trade up to #2 for Scoot.

Only terrified of the rockets trading the pick away. Defenders especially his size and bigger wont be able to stay in front of him. He's that explosive.

Terrified as well….watch his highlights and they were mocking how awful of an outside shooter he is. They showed like 15 airball threes he shot that were wide open against inferior talent.

I mean I would not be mad about Jarace or Whitmore even if they do not pan out.

It was not projected as that deep after the Top 3.

I don't think the Rockets will draft him.

I don't think he moves this team forward.

They are talking about moving to stage 2 of the rebuild and this is a guy that will probably need years to become a decent NBA player.

Taking Amen sets you back some.

I imagine they will trade the pick either to move up or for an established player.

There is risk involved with Amen Thompson because he played in a neighborhood church league this last year and his shot needs a lot of work.

Still he is one of the 2-3 most talented players in the draft. The Rockets need a franchise player and Thompson has that upside.

If I cannot trade up for Henderson, then I take Thompson and hope it works out.

He already is a good defender and a natural passer, great in transition but needs more experience in the half court and needs to improve as a shooter. Most guards DO improve as shooters though. If Jason Kidd can learn to shoot, then Amen Thompson can. He doesn’t have to be great at it, Ja Morant isn’t a good outside shooter - he just cannot be Westbrook bad.
