Anyone out there from/living in Denver? I am considering moving there when I get out of school. ------------------
I was born and raised in Houston and, apart from a few years in Bronco-land, have lived here all my life. Frank, I lived in Denver from 96 until about a year ago and loved it. It's a beautiful place, especially because of the proximity to the mountains, and reasonably affordable. The climate is dry and very mild (in fact, I missed thunderstorms while I was there). Major drawbacks would be a state income tax and the fact that there is little love of basketball there. Oh, and no Whataburgers! What are you looking for in a home city? ------------------
The reason I think I'd like living in Denver is because I love that type of climate, it's beautiful like you said, and I'd still be able to see Rockets and 'Stros games. Although I wouldn't be with my fellow fans, of course. Also, there would be a good career opportunity there for me. Affordable cost of living is a plus. I wouldn't mind moving back to Houston after school if Denver doesn't work out. No Whataburgers! --> No #8 value meals! May have to reconsider. Chris. If you don't mind me asking, why did you move back? ------------------
