I created this slideshow for a school project. It consists of pictures from the National Archives of World War II and has been put to the themes of the HBO mini series' "The Pacific" and "Band of Brothers," and also "Hymn to the Fallen" from Saving Private Ryan. I would love to know what you guys think. It is my first project of this type.

I find it fascinating to watch videos and look at pictures of WWII in color, idk if that's just me. I skipped through parts of your presentation and it looks good, great choice of music
For your first project, I would say very well done! I am fascinated with WWII and think for your first project you did yourself proud. I especially respect your choice of the final picture. Very fitting. Side note: The picture at 3:12 of soldiers shaking hands is of the Soviet/American link up at Torgau which split Germany in half just before the end of the war. A very big moment for the world for what it signaled. My father witnessed this moment firsthand. He was a Glider trooper of the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 17th Airborne. He fought as a replacement in October 1944 including the Battle of the Bulge right through the Rhineland campaign and Operation Varsity...the last major airborne drop of WWII. If you've seen Band of Brothers, Ron Livingston's character Lewis Nixon mentions the same operation...the one where everyone but him in the plane died. Another side note...my father and his brother in law were in 2 completely separate units the entire war and were within 1/2 a mile of each other at Torgau when all this happened but didn't know till years later talking at a family gathering.
Oh man projects like yours make stuff I make look bad. Great presentation. Editing was good and the song was perfect.
Thanks for sharing! That is really cool to hear the actual story that goes with the picture. The generation who fought in WWII was truly America's Greatest Generation and should never be forgotten.
