    Dbacks in 6.

Having Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson to throw out there 4 of 7 games is too tough for any team to overcome, even the Yankees. I think Arizona wins game one behind Schilling, loses a close game two with Randy Johnson, steals a game in New York with Anderson or Bautista, and closes the series out with wins from Schilling and RJ.

The Yankees just beat one of the best teams in sports history. There is no way they are losing. New York needs, and deserves this. Yankees in four.

Mariners were not one of the best teams in sports history, they weren't even the best team in baseball this year.

D'Backs in 6. I like the Combo of Johnson and Schilling, and Durazo really should be starting, but I tihnk he'll make an impact as the DH in Games 3 and 4.

If the Yankees win game one, I say Yankees in 5.

If they lose game one, Yankees in 6.

    GO YANKEES!!!!!

    Does it really matter?

We all know the result...we all knew before the season started.

Bud Seelig and MLB are a f***ing joke!

Another year of not watching the World Series is fine by with me..hell, I'm getting used to it.

Oh stop your whining Manny. Just cause your damn Red Socks dont know how to spend their money or play like a clutch team doesnt mean the entire MLB is a joke. If there is a joke in the MLB it is your Red Socks.

Well, I generally judge the best team in baseball by who wins the World Series.

Sometimes upsets happen, but I do not believe a team can call themselves the best team in the majors unless they prove it on the field by winning the Series, and the Mariners failed to do so.

    03,
I was reading in the Tennessean this morning about last year's ratings, which I'm sure you were like a pig in slop..loving every minute of it. Unfortunately, there weren't many others loving it considering the all-time low rating of 12.4. The Fox Network figures to lose $70 to $80 million on baseball this year, depending on the length of the World Series!

So, that is what I was talking about in Bud Seelig and MLB being a joke. You want to know why Fox lost so much money? Because people are sick and tired of seeing only 4 to 6 teams having a realistic chance of winning. Until there's revenue-sharing, baseball is always going to be f***ed up.

It's sad when a Monday Night Football game between the hapless Cowboys and even more hapless Redskins gets a better TV rating than the MLB playoffs. That should tell you something right there.

    Rocks03,

Ill i have to say is at least Manny, from what i can see, is a true REDSOX fan, you on the other hand are no more than a pathetic bandwagon yankee wannabe fan(im not a yankee fan so i wouldnt know of this state of being), i remember your stupid thread saying how your sick of all your favorite teams losing and not making the playoffs thus youre becoming a yankee fan because they always win.

Unfortunately you never thought someone would ever use that against you, but im sick of seeing you parade around with your yankee fan facade and ripping other teams true fans. The only thing i can figure is your in denial and feel like bullying them helps cover it up.

Myself im an astros fan and and A's fan, but just because my teams havent made a world series appearance doesnt mean im changing my loyalties, although it would be annoying to watch giambi leave oakland

Lastly, I think the yankees buy all their championships anyway, yes they have a decent farmsystem but a lot of that comes from teams not having the financial resources to keep guys or sign them. Perfect example drew henson got traded to cincy, then decided to play football only until the yankees offered him long term cash; its pathetic, similarly tell me what teams add mega million dollar bats/arms yr in and out to get to the ws and have the payroll to do so, like mussina, justice, the list goes on

Anyways, in my opinion your are a pathetic excuse for a true fan and in fact dont seem to be one at all and until the yankees ever stop spending 20 mil dollars on pitchers like mussina when other teams payroll isnt that much, i refuse to fully acknowledge their dominance, which i believe to be mainly bought not developed

Here, here! Great post, D. I'm sure if the impossible happens and the Diamondbacks do win this World Series, we will see R0ckets03 denying that he ever was a Yankee fan and that he was a Diamondback fan all the time. I'm still not going to watch, BTW.
