Anybody else in the office today, Memorial Day, Monday May 26th? Just checking...I'm here in the office at my usual 7:00 AM since where I work doesn't give us Memorial Day off, dreaming of barbecue, cold beer, and watching baseball on TV.
Well,as many other international fan(France),I never have day off on Memorial day(US holyday). On the other hand thursday is Assumption here,and that means 4 day weekend! Does US celebrate that holyday? ALA
I'm in as well. We just moved offices last Friday so everything is a mess (files are all over the place, office needs organized). Plus I am planning on taking of early on Friday to goto the Memorial (PGA) Tournament. But it's much easier to get hings done with noone around!
I am off school, boo yah! last week of school then exam week. Then i am officially a senior in high school.
Yup, Im working today, but work in call center, so its expected to be slow today cause of the holiday.
Wouldn't you rather have a busy day? I can't stand slow days because the time seems to stand still. Give me business or give me death.
I'm working today as well, but making double time and a half! Sweeter! Refineries know no holidays. The units run 7/24, so operators must be here to work their shifts.
lol... this is nothing, the students here at PUBLIC schools go to school on memorial day, they always have. Thats us Carolina country bumpkin's for you.

i work at a grocery store. I am either a CSM or Dairy guy person. Today, I worked in the Dairy. I milked the cows in the back, and then I bottled it.
Worked from noon until about 8:00. Lots of lightning in New Mexico yesterday and today, so I spent a good portion of the afternoon driving around looking for smokes and abandoned campfires. Thankfully we got enough rain to really diminish the idiot factor for the long weekend. So far, everything has been relatively tame in the SW this year. Off to Boise (it's not a bad town) tomorrow.
