I notice people in the NBA like using "technicality" and "yourself" alot, even if its incorrect to use these words sometimes.

    "How are you today?"
"I'm good, how about yourself?"

Shouldn't it be "I'm well, how about you?"

And what is up with the word "technicality" now? It seems to be interchangeable with the word "complexity".

Just some thoughts. What words do you notice sports people use that are abused?

People using your instead of you're.

    For example.....
    Your smart! FAIL.

    This.

I'm ok with people exaggerating but I always put "literally" above everything else. No, your head did not literally explode, otherwise you would not be alive.

    as far as abused words:

    LIKE and YA KNOW.

It's so incredibly annoying listening to someone speak and say "Like" or "Ya Know" 50 times. (literally). ;)

Yeah, the first one that came to my mind was:

    your instead of you're......

your - Where are your shoes?
    you're - You're my best friend!

Think before you use it....if you can use "you are" in place of it, then be sure to use you're.

to instead of too, or vice versa.....

to - I'm going to the store.
too - Do you want to go too?

Usually you can replace too with "as well" so that's a way to double check on that one.
