    -----

Okay, I'm soliciting all you fellow woot.com peeps out there.

I have finally entered a design in the shirt.woot "derby" that I feel comfortable with leaving up for votes.

This derby's theme was "elements" which means that each designer has to design something featuring one element. It could be things made up of that element, or something the element does.

My element was calcium. According to the website linked to the contest rules, calcium is the 5th most common element on earth and is found in eggshells, leaves, teeth, shells and bones... my design uses all of these... and spoof's the "got milk?" ad campaign...

Here's the link to vote... http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=21079

Here's the picture of the shirt...

Please vote for a fellow Clutch Fan! Thanks!

    I voted. Good luck.

I don't get what they are talking about when they say incidental text on some of those rejected shirts.

I think they want the text to be minimal, if not nonexistent as it pertains to the element. Some of them have quite a bit of text.

Mine may get the axe as far as that goes... but I needed the tie in for my element. I couldn't see putting something with "calcium" spelled out there...

    Thanks for the vote! :D

Iron I See(C). I think it means that the person wearing the shirt is supposed to be buff or something.

Most people don't know what irony is to begin with... see Morissette, Alanis.

Well... I don't know if my design is as good as... scratch that... my design will not catch up.

We have literal pros on there and they've already got 150+ votes...

I have designed several t-shirts, bumper stickers, even billboards over the years... but photoshop and illustrator for advertising is easier to me than coming through on a t-shirt with 6 or less colors...

I think the simpler the better, but what do I know?

In the age of "affliction" (crap) shirts... my designs are silent.

They already sent me a message saying my text is "non-incidental" -so, who knows?

It seems some of the long run, past winners, have text on their designs...

We'll see... it runs to next Thursday.

    Thanks for the votes!

    Thanks for voting !

Voted. IROCit- maybe you should explain how to vote, it would probably help you get more votes since the voting isn't a simple yes/no poll.

    Thanks!

Yes, for all interested.. you have to click on the "I'd want one" button on the top left of the image on the link that opens up... That is not a commitment to buy one, it's just a "yes" vote... as in.. you might want one.

Of course I can understand if no one does want one.... but I hope you would... :(

    Thanks for voting !

    Thanks again, Lil' Pun!
