    Not be outdone by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, the Minnesota Wild and goalie Manny Fernandez, formerly of Aeros fame, shocked the Avalanche 3-2 in OT tonight to win game 7 and knock the 2nd of the big 3(Detroit, Dallas and Colorado) out of the postseason.

    The NHL Playoffs rule!

    And this is great for hockey, period.

    I'll just counter that with heavy volunteering for liberal causes in my free time.

    I'm not really kidding, BTW. I'm starting law school in the fall of 2004, and our goal is when I graduate, she quits. The deal being I get to pick where we live. :) I will be sending you my resume.

    Good, if the Redwings aren't in it, the Aves better not be in it. That's all I have to say about that. Now if New Jersey can lose, and Dallas can lose, I am all for that too. Those are the three teams I hate.

    Ohmygosh.

    3rd OT just completed. Looked like the Ducks had the game winning goal, but it was disalllowed when replays showed the goal came undone about half a second before the puck went in...kind of a controversial call.

    Woohoo, playoff hockey rocks.

    Actually Melrose had a good explanation for it. THe rule book says if any part of the net is raised then no goal will count no matter what.

    Funny you should say that. I was watching Sum of All Fears last night, and Mr. Ducksworth from "Mighty Ducks" was in it. Everytime I see that guy I tell my wife "Quack Quack Quack, Mr. Ducksworth"
