I can see it now, Omer and Hedo talking crap about McHale in Turkish to each other right in front of him because they want more playing time.
Turkoglu is old and done. Peja is done. Detlef Schrempf and Sam Perkins are done. Let's not go after guys that were successful 4 years ago just because of 4 years ago...evaluate them in their current state.
Being completely objective (which there appears a lack of objectivity in this thread), I could go either way on a possible Turkoglu signing. On one hand, he is 34 and has been horrible lately. On the other hand, he did play well off Dwight Orlando when they were good (everyone here likes to act like Dwight had some kind of ****ty roster) and he'd be in a greatly reduced role in Houston. There's virtually no downside to signing because it will absolutely be for the veteran's minimum. If he sucks, give his minutes to Casspi (who I'm not sold on) or someone else. Won't really matter if the Rockets don't sign him, but it would be a horrible signing if they did due to there being almost no downside/risk. I don't think he'll be pursued, though.
What makes you guys think he'd be playing the 3? Never. He's 34 6'10 220, he's playing the stretch 4...and probably will sit on the bench for 38 minuets.
