And yet Cleveland got two second round picks and perennial MVP candidate Isaiah Hartenstein for Javale McGee. If I were the owner in Orlando I would fire my GM immediately.
I wonder if Danny Ainge left his phone in the bathroom, and the janitor came in and made this trade. I can't envision Danny trading away any of his picks....even if they are 2nd rounders.
I understand. But that they paid Fournier too much is also a knock on their GM. That dude really thought he was going to win with Vooch as his best player? It's crazy town.
2 2nd doesn't sound like a lot. Ainge should have gone for harden. He got all the nets picks and the nets are in a better situation than the Celtics.
not bad, but he’s not a difference maker Danny Ainge was once sitting on the brightest future in the league, and it’s decayed into the mediocre team that he has today
It certainly is in comparison to the Kennard contract. But I don't know that that should be the bench mark. Fournier isn't a bad player and I don't think the contract is too excessive. I do think that you can't afford to pay guys like Fournier, Aaron Gordon, etc when you don't yet have a star to build around. They apparently chose to build around Vooch and I'll never understand it.
not a bad pickup for boston. They needed something. I don't know if this is exactly it, but hes a solid versatile player. 19.7 PPG on 46/39/80 splits isn't exactly nothing
Boston has all these scorers and no playmaker. that is their issue IMO. and smart may be the heart and soul but his trash offense has hurt them big time also. he's almost like we were with PJ out there last year. he should definitely be a role player off the bench and not in in crunch time. from that standpoint Fournier helps them.
This is the exact moment I felt like we were screwed and we weren't going to get value for Dipo. He is flat out a better offensive player than Victor so unless there was a team out there in love with his defense and felt he was the missing piece for a deep playoff run, the low bar was set and it wasn't moving.
