I don't follow the Comets at all, but as I was cruising round ESPN I saw that the Comets are AT Sac for Game 1 of their playoff series.. my question is, if Houston is #2 seed and Sac #3, why are we having to play on the road for game #1? I see it is a best of 3, so does this mean games 2 and 3 are at home? I would think, being an underdog, playing 1st game of a series on your own home court gives you the advantage, even though Hou would have the next 2 at home... It seems the idea situation for upsets to happen.. just wondering...
Yeah, it's been that way for a while. I remember there was an uproar after they lost game one of a series to Phoenix (IIRC), but they rallied at the next two games on their home floor.
And the Astros have posted winning records in nine of the last ten seasons and are on pace to post their 11th. Of course, the Rockets did win two titles during that time, as well (but could only manage seven of ten winning seasons) .
Back.to.Back.to.Back.to.Back.to.playoff.to.playoff.to.playoff I wish Houston's other teams would suck so bad.
I think he was talking about the Comets being mentioned last in the forum name...of course, not as many people care about the comets as they do the Astros or Texans, despite their success...
