http://sportsbybrooks.com/heatherlabella.html LOS ANGELES - The Buss family has busted out a bizarre way of boosting flat ticket sales for their WNBA Los Angeles Sparks franchise. Sparks Director of "Tactical Marketing" Heather La Bella initially "inquired about advertising the (team) in Playboy to target Southern California’s subscribers." But after learning the Sparks would have had to pay $25,000 for an ad, Darren Rovell of ESPN.com reports La Bella decided she would instead pose nude in the magazine - with a WNBA-logoed ball - to help spur ticket sales for the club. La Bella: "Part of my job is to try to increase ticket sales and I think this will work." Sparks President Johnny Buss: "We're always thinking of new ways to boost awareness. Plus, we’re always a little on the edge here in (L.A.). We’re friends with the whole Playboy family. They’re part of (L.A.)." Johnny Buss is the son of Laker Owner Jerry Buss (O.D.B) and brother of Jeanie Buss, who previously posed nude in PLAYBOY as well.
yeah sure it will the sport is unwatchable, unless you get the hottie players (are there any?) to pose nudie, having some unknown exec show her ta-ta's isn't going to help
So...do you figure Tim's secretly hoping this tactic doesn't work. At least he'll be posing under the GO BIG banner.
I think she is not even on the squad anymore this year. Anyway, as long as Tim doesn't follow that lady's lead...everything's fine .
Jessica is not on the squad anymore. Rich and Charlie said the new director of the squad wanted a cleaner image and apparently Jessica had some dirt in her past if I remember correctly.
You actually need that type of hype at the Toyota Center to get people to come for the Rockets games.
