NEW YORK, April 14 — Shawn Bradley of the Dallas Mavericks and Walt Williams of the Houston Rockets have been suspended without pay for one game each and fined $10,000 and $5,000, respectively, for their roles in an altercation Thursday night, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations, Rod Thorn announced Friday. Bradley was suspended and fined for initiating an altercation with a flagrant elbow to the side of Williams' head with 4:02 remaining in Houston's 111-102 win at the Compaq Center. Williams was suspended and fined for punching Bradley in the face. Bradley will sit out Saturday's game against Seattle at Reunion Arena, while Williams will miss the Rockets' game versus Seattle on Sunday, April 16, at the Compaq Center. Pretty funny that Bradley got his ass kicked and now he has to pay more than Walt. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
Damn, I agree with the ruling, but I don't ever remember seeing the punch getting less of a fine than the preceding incident. Good call Rod though, stickmans elbow was so not in the flow of play. ------------------
good precedent; now let's apply it to the real criminal--Malone ------------------ stop posting my damn signature
I'm sure it mattered that Bradley had thrown an elbow the trip before[not caught on tv] and Walt was complaining to the refs coming up the court. [reason it made tv the second time]. Remember the Ref didn't even eject Bradley until they saw the replay of it. Reguardless I am proud of Walt, hit me once and I will take it Hit me twice and you will pay. I'm just sorry Malone is so good that when he gets you with the elbow you are not able to throw a punch.. ------------------
I got to see the highlight after the fact. Walt cracked him a good one in the grill. LOL I am not pro violence but it was nice to see Bradley get popped. Way to go Walt!!! ------------------ We would like to get rookie Francis on the break for some easy scoops in the first quarter...
