Theres no doubting that this team has talent, lots of it. As much I am sorry to see Rudy go, Rudy did not take full advantage of Griffin, Mobley, Francis and Yao.

Van Gundy has been able to tame Camby and Sprewell and I am sure he can do the same with Mobley and Francis.

I say give the rockets two months before deciding to move anybody.

unless we get one sweet deal, such as Lebron for Mobley or Mobley for Ray Allen or something along those lines. We keep out team as it is.

We keep the core, we try to get rid of Norris, MoT and Cato due to their contracts. Rice is going to be traded to clear up space for somebody this year so he is automatically on the trading block,

It may not be as much fun as dreaming up 15 man trades.. but its probably the way its going to happen. I dont know if Ive ever heard of a new coach making major changes before hes worked with a team.

Les isn't going to break apart the greatest team ever assembled

on a serious note.... I think Van Gundy will wait and see, i think a trade would most likely occur sometime during the season

At least you should admit our weakness is on PF and PG position, we need an veteran PF who can backup Yao and do the dirty work and some efficient defense work against strong western conference PFs, a backup PG for SF or Cat when one of them going to rest, forget Moochie Norris, he is not an NBA Level PG, he should still play in CBA at best.

I even didn't mention a consistent shooter is much welcome by our team, do we have one???

Well, we have potential with Eddie Griffin and we can definitely hope Francis developes with Gundy at the helm.

We just have to give it time, I guess.

However, I don't want to wait before its too late. I mean if we start losing and we don't make the changes soon enough so we have a winning record to get into the playoffs, Van Gundy or Dawson needs to go.

If we wait two months players like Brand will be gone, instead of Mobley and Griffin its going to take Francis or Yao Ming to get Brand. So time costs us, so sooner could be better rather than later.
Possibly JVG could run some sessions in the off season to get an impression. He could look at some tapes and see just what our problems are, before the start of the season. Fans and the public are expecting upgrades in at least two positions!

    It's a new day.
We should give everyone a chance to prove themselves. That includes Cat, EG, Hawk, Boki ...
Having said that, if there is an attractive player out there. i.e. Brand, that is within our grasp, we should go for him, knowing he won't be around by mid season.

There will not be any trades right now. Unless there is a big trade the Rockets have been working on, like landing Brand. JVG has not played with any of are players, he will not trade them yet.

All the clippers should get the 1 year tender, so that means mid-season trades, if you put them ahead of other moves. Need to see how they shake out. That's also when Glen Rice's contract has to be cashed in.

The only change needed was the coach and that is done. This bunch has to be kept together. We do not need anymore distractions.

The biggist distraction of last season was the selfish play of the Guards, the Point Guards inability to be a playmaker and play defence, the fact that the Center is a long way from being NBA ready and Dribble Mania.

The Team needs to move away from playing a Guard oriented focus and concentrate on becoming a Big Mans Team. If this is to be Les Alexanders thinking then changes are in order. Especially getting rid of Moochie Norris!
