He has proved it that with a good scrappy team in the regular season , he is capable of winning 50+ games, but come playoff time, his record playoff time speaks for itself. I am using tonight as an example because it's exactly the way he played in Utah all the playoff games last yr. the team gets down, he refuses to drive and be aggressive, letting himself be guarded by Derek Fisher or Kyle Korver???? Yao to me is not a guy who can carry this team to playoff success. It is up to Morey to somehow find a way to replace Tmac in the offseason. I love the guy, great guy off the court, but all he does when it gets tough is pout or shoot 3's!! Somehow we need to find a new franchise player, but it def is hard to do that

It is because nobody settles with a contested jumpshot in the playoffs. Did you see the Jazz tonight taking forced jump shots?

    Heat check my arse!!

he is a talented player no doubt, but with the money he makes and absorbs from our payroll, he should not be a #3 or #2 option, he is paid as much as Kobe , and he def ain't Kobe. I say we give the Knicks a call this summer , or find a way to get ahold of 1 of the super freshman entering the draft

people use that argument alot, but Tmac hasnt been the same since 04-05 . That series against Dalllas he was good for the most part, or all his Orlando playoff games, but last yr he was pretty bad against the Jazz. Even against the Jazz in G7, I think it's too generous to say he did everything he could. He missed 5 ft's, late in the game he continued to settle for jumpers, he could have won us that game !

I agree. If he doesn't start making his shots in the playoffs, we aren't going anywhere.

Everyone knows this. That's why the rockets have Yao.

I think in many ways McGrady gave us that loss. Novak was doing more than he did in his 30 seconds of play. If this playoff goes sour fast I am all for a T-Mac trade.

Well playoffs will be another stroy for him, for Rockets.

I'm sure he will do his best, and I'm sure he will be driving more to the rack. Maybe the shoulder is still a little problem but he needs to fix it befpre playoffs and start playing his best.

Man I'm not going to judge T-Mac until he lays eggs in the playoffs, but that was an ugly regular season for him.

You can't pin the losses on him. Unless you're trying to argue that despite the fact he's put up historic numbers in every playoff series (save for the Jazz last season, BUT he did step up in game 7) he doesn't perform well in the playoffs. That's nothing but your own conjecture.. the stats say otherwise.

I agree, he is a proven loser. Trade him in the off season.
