With just days to go to Thursday afternoon, just what will Sura and/or Bonz bring back to make one good run at the title?

After all, no title chase then who cares, right?

    Mike James ?

So, what other/better realistic, fit-in-to-this-tem etc etc options for the b/u 1 swing 2 minutes do those boys bring in return to the Toy Shop?

    Our center position is set.

We will not get an awesome pf/sf/sg unless someone just puts one in our laps ...

But of course we have a gap at pg right now. I doubt we get one that is talented to push Alston out of starting, but it is possible to get one to take out a good chunk of his miinutes.

I would love to get James back. Would give up just about any non rotation player and/or bonzi, and 2nd rounders. Don't think it'll happen though. :(

Just go get James. You can tell JVG wants him.

I think Alston is a legitimate starter...ahead of James. But as CriscoKidd say....not at big minutes.

I wish I could say JVG said something recently.

But you can tell he likes Alston...but maybe not at these minutes. Charlie Ward is an assistant, and JVG has gone on record saying Luther Head reminds him of Ward. Think about that! JVG said a 23yr old reminds him of one of his assistant coaches.

imo, that is unprecedented and revealing.

JVG wants so desparately to reduce Alston's minutes, but Luther can't do it....not yet.

yeah, i'm by and large dreamcasting

If Minny calls and offers Mike James for Luther Head, do you do the deal?

I'll be happy with getting any point guard. Rafer is absolutely the worst pg in the league.

    chucky atkins
    jason kidd (yeah right)
    mike bibby (my fantasy)
steve francis (if NY cuts him)
    mike james

I wish somehow we keep Bonzi though. He should be a legitimate third scorer by the playoffs if he can stay healthy.

I just really don't think we can count on him at all.

A bonus to dealing Bonzi is that if we do get rid of him to a player with bird rights, we free up the MLE for this next summer, if there is someone worth pursuing, which I think will be likely.

Rox's too deep at sg/sf compare to PG, it's a wasted of talents at sg/sf, and a liability at pg

I don't want any part of Mike James. His game is deteriorating.

He's fast becoming a guy who still won't pass but now can't score with consistency either. Some of you think Rafer takes bad shots? Add Mike James 2.0 and watch Yao and Tracy stand there while MJ jacks up bricks left and right.

Never. Screw Mike James. His attitude is not worth the risk. He only had one good season in Toronto and that's it. There must be a big reason why he lost his starting job in Minnesota to a rookie.

    Where'd you hear that man?

IF, that's the case, I think we have a good shot at landing him, and I'd LOVE to see him back in Houston, but I hear that he and Isiah are happy w/ Francis in NY.
