T-mac. If you think about it Iverson has about five years of quality basketball in him. T-mac is talking about retiring in three. For all those things we want T-mac to be, AI is. My only concern is chemistry or is he cancerous. But with all the selfish talk about Iverson, you never heard his teammates talk about him (as they have with Kobe). If Larry Brown could handle him, I am sure JVG could handle a more mature AI. Just had to put it out there, but if it were me I would do it. Last thing, he has taken his team to the Finals basicly by himself. Have a good day all

I'd probably pull the trigger, but I highly doubt Philly would trade AI for Tmac, it's a lateral move for them and it's far more likely Philly would want picks and young talent with lots of upside in return

I might consider TMac for AI and Yao for Garnett

    :D

but neither trade separately...not even close.

Yes, but only if they throw in Iguadala. Here's the overall trade:

    Houston
    Tracy McGrady
    Luther Head
    Steve Novak

    Philly
    Allen Iverson
    Andre Iguadala
    Kyle Korver

    I'd do ^^^^ this.

I'm not sure if we need to give up Tmac for AI. We can give them 2 #1 picks + Alston/Sura, Bonzi and Novak.

We're playing for the now anyway. There's not going to be any talent in the next two years that will be better than AI. And we're not going to get Greg Oden.

2 picks, Alston, Bonzi and Novak for AI would be the most lopsided trade in the history of the NBA. There's no way Philly is going for that.

I've said it time again and again... We need a slasher / Free throw shooting player and AI fits that bill.. WE can not settle for outside shots with sub 35 FG% I hate it when T-mac doesnt drive to the basket more often and keeps missing the outside jumper... I wish T-mac was like the OLD T-mac :(

Actually i think there the ones that should sweeten the deal since t-mac has the abilty to play multiple positions and has really proven this year that he can get his team mates involved on the offencive end. Im thinking tmac+luther head for iverson+klyle kover and conditional first round pick or somehing of that nature.
Just a Idea im sure it wont happen but its fun to play what if.

we have nothing a rebuilding team wants (cap relief, picks, young players).

the bulls and celtics could make MUCH better offers than we could.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Iverson is astounding, but he doesn't win you games. He can't mesh with anyone - never has never will. He's a good person with an unfair rep, but it's a simple matter that he only does one thing well and that's score. He doesn't make people around him better, you have to hid him on defense, you need a PG in a swingman's body to put next to him, etc etc.

I like him, I grew up in Hampton Roads when he did, but his game simply doesn't translate in the league. He can score better than anyone, but the team can't be more than mediocore (aside from the single cinderella run with Larry Brown).

Yao's game would SUFFER with him. McGrady is making the rest of the team better and Iverson would do the exact opposite.

No people WTF are ya'll thinking.

T-Mac will regain form and he is willing to defer to Yao.

    Dammit don't be silly.

True. But who has been on his team who would've give him an opportunity to mesh with? Maybe Webber, but they did play pretty good together!

We could've said the same thing about Tmac when we first got him. In fact some people did say it (I know I did), and now look how well he's playing with Yao!

    wtf trade for AI?

For him its about the FGA's not the FGM's. You think AI is going to learn how to play with Yao overnight?

iverson has something t-mac will never have..

a relentless attitude, rock hard confidence, poise, determination to the death, he doesn't shake easily and is there every night he's able to play.

YOu must be kidding. Iverson at least won the eastern conference champion once. Mcgrady is the one doesn't win you anything.

i think people are beginning to be blinded by their intense love for the rockets.. don't get me wrong, i love the rockets, too, but my love extends to the characters we have. and I would LOVE to cheer for iverson. you guys are overhyping t-mac. i mean the guy can flat out play.. but he's not there at that "level" every night.. Iverson is!!

how can you not pull this trigger?? as much as i love the rockets, take your blinders off, and you will see.. t-mac is not all that great.
