It's our 7th today and I wanted to say it here because I know she'll see it. Happy Anniversary! I love you.
wow...exactly one week after mine. congrats Jeff and Mrs. Jeff....our favorite internet couple, hands down. So, now you have to tell us the story of how you proposed.... or, well, actually, I think we all want to know Mrs. Jeff's version first. LOL!
oh, and if you all tell us your stories tonight rather than getting out,...well, then we know who runs that household.... the CATS!!!! If the cats prevent you from doing anything other than their daily routine, why don't you both have a couple glasses of wine (well, Mrs Jeff can have Jeff's), pet the cats, then start separate "Posting While Drunk" threads to tell us your wedding proposal stories.
Happy Anniversary...from the Surfguy. So, when's the divorce? That's a joke . Continued success to you both.
heyp: I didn't really propose. We just basically decided to get married. Very un-romantic, I know. As for going out, we have always been AWFUL with holidays, birthdays and anniversaries - they always ended up in disaster when we tried to do anything. As a result, we tend to not really emphasize them very much. We had a nice brunch out this morning and we've just been enjoying the day. Beyond that, the cats are in charge.
wow!! congratulations to you both!!! you're both amazing people....wishing you many more happy years!!!
Awwww...how sweet. It's been a wonderful seven years, and I look forward to many more. Now for the real story of how we decided to get married: We had been living together for since late 1992. The committment-phobic Mr. JB told me that we would get married when I graduated from college. Needless to say, when my early-December 1994 graduation rolled around there was no proposal. We plowed through my birthday (Dec. 19), Christmas, New Year's and Valentine's day without Mr. JB uttering a word about marriage. Finally, by April I'd had it. I backed the poor guy into a corner and told him he'd better marry me "or else." He thought it over for a few minutes and said "okay, let's get married." And the rest is history. How romantic is that?
Congrats to both of you. Tomorrow is my third anniversary... If the wife had married me first time I asked it would be our 10th, but it took her longer to be sure than it did for me. Hope you both have a wonderful, long lasting marriage... to each other.
Awwww. Ain’t that sweet. Congrats you two, and I won’t even mention that seven year itch thing. A couple that surfs together stays together.
In today's faster style of life, the infamous "seven year itch" takes place roughly at year 4.83, except in some parts of Utah, (where it happens right before wife #2, and right before wife #3, and ...) . Anyway, the JB's zoomed right by the 4.83-year itch! Congrats to 'em both.
