About time to hunker down. We have nine 8-9 YO girls coming over for a sleepover for my daughter's 9th birthday. We did this only three weeks ago for my youngest daughter's 7th birthday. We are trying to work out the details for video chats with my son in Paris and my daughter in New Zealand. Pizza. Cake. High School Musical. What else? The 7 YOs held out until about 1:30 AM; we'll see how the 9 YOs do.... I may wake up with my fingernails painted...
crush up some xanax>slip into kool aid>let them sleep where they fall or take the xanax yourself and forget you even had them over by the time you wake up tomorrow evening. good luck and god speed.
I've had a couple of those. They are NOT good for the male species. A loss of Friday Night college games, other good shows, drinking a good beer, and many other Tim The Tool-Man Taylor mishaps...? R.I.P. giddyup's Friday Night. + Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya SisterHood? Traveling Pants? Mean Girls? 'Screener' Copy of HSM3?
You poor b*stard... you have my condolences. That wouldn't be so bad, only for the memories of Lindsay Lohan when she was still hot.
If you just have painted fingernails, you did well. You should probably expect the total makeover - fingernails, toenails, makeup, hair, accessories.... the works. When my 8-yr-old daughter had a sleepover, she and her friends dressed up in all kinds of crazy outfits, then my wife, my 2-yr-old son and I sat in the living room, applauded and played techno music while they came walking out in runway fashion. I had my digital camera making flashes and announced each girl and the clothes they were wearing. They enjoyed he hell out of it.
At my then 7-year-old's party, I took photos during the first part of the night, then went to Walgreens and dropped off the photos to pick up the next day. I had copies for each girl the next day, and group photos for all. They each took prints with themselves and some of the group photos, and then the next day I did it again. They had photos the SAME day. They were impressed. Have them try to solve PUZZLES or MATH PROBLEMS or RIDDLES together. Those are fun to watch for good Photo Ops. Again, R.I.P. your Friday night, brother... I feel ya... I feel ya...
I'm so sorry, giddyup. Be strong. Do you have Guitar Hero? At least while they play that, you can hear some good music. This will be my world in about 7 years. Hopefully all this Hannah Montana/HSM stuff will be a thing of the past by then, although I'm sure something will replace them that is equally HORRID.
Ummm... yeah, NO, ima... SORRY: http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/09102008/5/high-school-musical-gearing-fourth-term-0.html it will be at about #10 by the time your young'un is a 7-year-old...
not gay (as you know). but I think my man card was confiscated long ago. ..... oh - and you speak as if you wouldn't do the same for your niece!
