wise up?

I am no active poster since my english sucks.And I am not a fan of the rockets.Heck,I am even sick of NBA as much as Jay-Z¡¯s music now.It's hip-hop,but as shallow as can be compared to ¡°Run-DMC¡± or ¡°It takes a nation¡_¡± kind of stuff.It¡¯s competitive sport,but sometimes looks like a touring circus partly because of D.Stern¡¯s tweak.

It bothers me when Bush giving speech to Chinese college students,he kept talking things like ¡°you people should do this,you people should do that¡±.He might be selling good things,well,who knows,but still like a salesman,annoying in some way.It bothers me when a talk show host calling a foreign government to ¡°wise up¡±.NBA no doubt is the elite bball league,the Chinese bball team's training season basically too darn long.But does a gigantic contract mean everything?Is some ugly-looking ring your goal of life?Is D.Stern's marketing program more important than your home country's national program?I am no patriot,and sometimes I even wish our government can go to hell.However I won't hesitate to give my life for my country.Sadly but the truth.And I am sure a great number of average joes share the same attitude.This is the lifetime contract,an irrepealable one.Yao works out an agreement with CBA to take some time off?Great.Yao does some trick to get the vacation?Fine.Yao not coming back?I can live with that.But an american gives a "wise up" lesson?Fvck off!And by the way,we chinese certainly do not need a bball player to show americans that we can live,love,embrace and play bball.

First Francis,now Yao.First minority,now even someone I recognized as creditable poster.Bball wise,I still don't see any fundamentals.Is Yao soft?Yes.But he is getting stronger steadily.I am actually amazed by his progress.He is already one of the most powerful non-african-american players.Why he struggles?Francis struggles because he's changing his game,Yao too.Yao used to play a skillful game, he has to muscle in the paint now.No more spin moves,but a lot of hook shots and more strong-side offense.Look at Divac,muscle is not the only effective way to create good shots.And I'm sure B.Walton didn't mean Yao will be one hell of a wrestler in his famous article.

Francis and Yao both have multiple talents, are capable of finishing the job in multiple ways.They are playing in JVG¡¯s way right now,both adjusting,both struggling,both improving.So far,I don't see bad result by any means.This might not be the best way,they maybe not the perfect combo to achieve the ultimate prize.But to draw a conclusion now?Bashing players that work hard day in and day out?

Let alone the sportswriters,it's their job to make the judge,to flash their one-sided opinion,to praise or criticize any given night.
