I am having problem with my D-link wireless connection on my downstairs computer.

It has worked well for months and then I had trouble connecting. I think that I was able to figure out that my wireless router was no longer transmitting a signal, but I was able to fix that.

Anyway, now my network connection comes on and off on my computer. It says - wireless connected - excellent signal and then it says that there is no connection. This on/off connection alternates about every five seconds.

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the drivers, but this doesn't help any.

Have any of you had a similar problem or any advice?

Do you have any cordless phones laying around??

Try going into your router setup and changing the channel.

No, don't get Netgear. I flashed the firmware of my router, now it has horrible reception.

I know Microsoft put out that Wi-Fi critical update. Did you recently install that?

Thanks everybody. I haven't had a chance to work on it yet because I worked late last night.

I'll try changing the channel to see if that helps.

I'm also having a wireless network problem...Our laptop says the signal is being transmitted(Even says Good/Excellent connection), but nothing works. No websites will open, none of the shared files are being shared, AIM/MSN IM won't connect...Any idea what the problem is?
