I just got one and I love it. 50 bucks at Best Buy, for both. Anyone else have one? The only weird thing is is that you can't have a cordless phone within 6 feet of it .
i've had a cordless mouse for years and used to keep a cordless phone right next to it on my desk. why can't you have them in close proximity? i never experienced problems (that i know of )
I got a cordless optical mouse for Christmas. I used it for about a month before going back to a standard ball mouse. It was too jittery.
which keyboard/mouse did you get? Here's mine: <img src="http://www.cochems.com/news/logitech3.gif"> I've had a Logitech wireless mouse for 4 years now, and I LOVE IT. I can't imagine having another mouse. I put it on one of these: <a href="http://www.ratpadz.com"><img src="http://www.planetquake.com/features/techtips/02-19-00/rp.jpg" border = 0></a>, and all is well.
I don't have a wireless mouse or keyboard, but I do have an optical mouse, one that Microsoft gave to me for free (the IntelliMouse that used to be $70 at BestBuy). I wouldn't trade it for any mouse in the world...optical mice rock!
I've had a Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard for about 2-3 years now, and never had a problem with the phone interrupting it. The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to put the reciever on my desktop near my computer or it won't work properly (my desk is made of stainless steel)
Vengeance, that looks like my mouse. The guy at best buy told me that 900 mhz phones may interfere with the frequency, since they're both digital. I like this set-up though.
i have that exact same mouse Vengeance... i bought it for $4.00 brand new last year from my ex-favorite online auction site... best bargain in my entire life!
that mouse ROCKS! I got one of the VERY FIRST ones they made. The design has changed a tiny bit since then (my folks have a newer one), but hardly at all -- it's basically the same. I did make one modification to it though -- I have a heavier mouse ball. The mouse ball that came with it was kindof light and flimsy, and didn't grip too well. It was great for a year, but one day I noticed an old mouse at a thrift shop, and decided to purchase it because it had a heavy mouse ball that I thought might fit my mouse -- sure enough, it did. Took a bit of getting used to (the heavier ball sometimes keeps rolling after you stop moving the mouse if you move it too quickly). But after a few days, I was ecstatic -- I hope I never have to buy another mouse again. The teflon feet have fallen off a number of times -- I got some new ones from Logitech, but I lost the extras they sent (I got a sheet of 12 of them). No matter really -- the Ratpadz is so slick, I couldn't imagine using something smoother. Speaking of which, if you don't yet have a Ratpadz mousing surface, you MUST buy one. Best computer accessory I've ever owned. I love it more than any other mousepad I've ever used. Kicks the crap out of the overpriced and overhyped 3M ones. It's solidly constructed, cheap, and durable. You can get them at http://www.arenacomputers.com north of Houston for a great price. I may give them out as Christmas gifts next year. They take a bit of getting used to, but within a day or two, you'll wonder how you ever moused without it.
