I dare to declare that the Rockets will go on a 5-game winning streak starting against Kidd and the Nets at home. They should then easily get the next four: @ Phoenix Milwaukee Chicago @ Atlanta I then see them tumbling against San Antonio at Toyota center(TNT game). What do you all think?
That would be nice. Even nicer if they don't lose another one until the ASG. That would be what, 7 game streak. I mean it is time to start taking care of the home games, we are ok on the road about 0.500 (12-13), but we have to win 3 out of every 4 at home.
Milwaukee will be the tough one. Not only because they are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, but also because they play the small ball style that gives the Rockets so much trouble.
In "theory" the schedule looks nicely set up for a nice winning streak. Of course we felt that way going into Miami as well and we saw what happened.
Thinking how consistent the Rockets have been this year... It actually feels kind of impossible. But let's hope so! Go Rockets
I am too sacred to say anything in the winning streak thread. On paper, we probably should take 5w's, but ..... eeeeeks.
They could lose the Atlanta game. It's on the road and the 3rd game in 4 nights for the Rockets. Sure, the Hawks suck, but so do the Miami Heat, and they beat Houston in the exact same scenario. If they lose at Phoenix or against Milwaukee at home, I'll be pissed. Yes, the Bucks are a good team and play the smallball style, but they're a mediocre road team and have crappy big men. Yao needs to dominate that game.
Actually, if you discount their 0-7 start, the Heat are a .500 team. Playing a .500 team or better team on the road is always a dicey proposition.
Lets just worry about beating NJ first. At least we won't have to worry about Griffin lighting us up and blocking everyones shots.
Wow, I thought that ATL game was in March; I better get on the phone and contact relatives for tix...
