How many rebounds could he have had, only to lose the ball out of his grip?

How many face-up jumpers during crunch time, will he brick, before he realizes his game is based on dunks and layups?

I realize that Willis did do a solid job on Shaq tonight.

But, on the offensive end, he has ZERO common sense or awareness.

Without Willis (and with only Cato and Collier I guess) we get the the crap kicked out of us.

I do agree though that he loses a lot of scoring opportunities. But I'm so happy to see his effort in comparison with what else we have I can almost forgive all of them.

It's amazing. One bad game and people just turn on the guy. Never mind the fact that the Rockets aren't nearly in position to be a good team without Willis and his double-double and hook shots. You think he stinks now, how about dumping him off the team and giving all the minutes to Cato. Imagine if the Rockets didn't trade for Willis. All I can say is this team wouldn't have 5 wins.

Willis did a decent job on the boards tonight, but too many balls knocked out of bounds and whats up with the 18 ft jumpers? with the game on the line I guess everyone wants to be the hero, but cmon kevin, give the damn ball to the shooters! This was a very winnable game. We actually did a good job on shaq, but kobe killed us(whats new) and we couldn't come through with our offense(again, whats new). I think our defense is whats going to help us get into the playoffs if it stays the way it is. Good effort, good game.

Willis did the better than Cato agains Shaq, but damn, at times it seemed like he was playing with greasy hands. He makes just one of the many layups his missed and it's a different story.

I think you are following your sig a little too closely there.

Without Willis, not only does this game go into overtime, we get our asses drilled. Yea, he really stinks, doesn't he? The closest the Fakers have come to losing all year and you harp on **** like this! Give me a ****ing break!

RM-Bash me if you want, but I've been saying this since I first saw him play for us this year.

I forgot how he is a blackhole and hasn't seen a shot he didn't fall in love with.

Defensively, he's much better than Cato.

On offense, I don't think Cato would be much of a downgrade. He can dunk the ball better than Willis (who has blown several layups, that he should have dunked in).

I don't care if Willis is a better shooter, because I don't want Willis shooting jumpers.

So seriously - and I mean this just to clarify - you feel we'd be in better shape if we didn't have Willis?

It leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you lose by 1 to the damn Fakers. And Cato should be ashame of himself when he cashes his next check. That dude is a f-ing joke. No Heart, No Desire to win, the damn dude is useless. Rudy should wake up and let KW start. KW may not have a great offensive game but he gives you 100% on every play and will grab you 10boards.

Willis was not brought in for his offense. He was brought in to solidify the paint on defense. Anything more than 8-10pts is all bonus. The two plays at the end of the game were drawn up for him to help bring Shaq out. Shaq didn't come out, and when that happens, you have to take the open jumper. We'll just say that Shaq won those two plays. He did drop a number of dishes down low out of bounds. I too have the same problem. I am a rebounder, and trash scorer. I live for rebounds. When a scorer is driving, I look for a dish off as I get position for the rebound, once I get completly set up, I'm not looking for the pass anymore, and when they come, I'm leaning on the player and my hands aren't out to recieve the pass. For the most part, that is exactly what I saw here. He was positioning for the rebound and got the dish passed to him to late for a guy like that.

First Willis definitely was a big positive in this game for his defense on shaq. We weren't eaten alive thanks to Willis. Agreed he has to have the worst hands in history (even worse than Cato's maybe!!) but there's no way he dunks worse than Cato. Willis goes up strong and, more importantly, goes up quick. He does miss layups, but so does Cato and he dunks better than Cato. Why am I even comparing Cato to him.

At least I never used their names in the same sentence.

Rokkit-We'd be in better shape if Willis didn't consider himself to be a jump shooter.

If he could understand what his role is on offense, then I would have no problem with him.

Everytime he shoots a jumper, it's basically a waste of a possession.

I recall in the 4th Q when Willis took 2 straight 15 ft jumpers. Seeing how the Lakers WANTED him to take it, Willis should have used his head and just pass the ball.

Let Mobley, hell anyone else take a jump shot. Just stay in the paint and put in dunks if someone sets you up. Or shoot a hook shot.

The last thing on earth I want Willis to do is shoot jumpers. And the fact that he did it in 2 consecutive possessions during crunch time, makes me wonder if he has anything but muscle between the ears.

What the hell are you guys talkin about? Why are you....(mumbling)......at Willis...........(mumbling)........fat Cato.........(mumbling)........too fat. I think that Willis always does a great job, everybody has an off night. Just think about it, he is 39 YEARS OLD!!!! Not even the greatest centers of all-time (Olajuwon and Ewing) can do what he is doing at this age. You guys are pathetic....thanx for those who are on Willis' side.

Those 2 shots were drawn up to pull the defense out. It didn't, so you have to take the shots. If either of the two hit, the plays worked. They didn't, but they were good looks. I can pick other wasted shots that were more criticle to the loss. Willis is stepping up just as we have asked.

Cato at least KNOWS his role. Which basically is garbage points.

I don't know why Willis has to think that he needs to score 20 ppg and be the focal point of our offense.

Easily one of the biggest ballhogs I've ever seen.

Manny-I'm sorry that I don't lie to you and tell you stuff I don't even mean.

What I find is funny, is that it's ok and cool to bash Cato, yet anything or anyone else, you have to bs about and make sure its positive.
