Although most of my family is Red, they are sick and tired of my mood changes, tantrums and media obsession. Wifey has gone as far to tell me that she will be glad when it's over.

    Enter tantrum.

Have these playoffs changed your behavior outside of the actual games?

Hahaha hell no, you're crazy man. There are far more important things in life, games affect me for a few minutes and then it's over.

Less efficient at work. More worried/stressed. Friends hate me (so much so that one didn't invite me to his housewarming party cause I was talkin so much Shiet after game 1) I live in Portland. Dad won't really talk to me haha. Roomates disguise me and ask how the F are you a Rockets fan?!

    In a word: Yes.

At least let the series with Portland be over!

Oh hell yes. I don't get in bad moods, but my wife is probably tired of scheduling things around Rockets games.

Not my girlfriend, but this girl I've seen seeing is in the same boat. Even went as far as to tell me that she doesn't want to be around me when the Rockets are playing.

Good. I don't even notice you, lady!

The only good thing about this series is that all the games have been after 8pm. That's about when my wife goes to bed, so she hasn’t been privy to any of my MANY mood swings during games.

I try not to let the losses affect me the next day. “Try” being the key word…

Yeah, my GF probably wants this to be over. I don't let this stuff affect my life that much, but it does get to me a little... especially in the day or two after a big game (esp a big loss).

Terrific question. Mine bride will happily parade in June. It's the getting there that'll kill us all.

Remmber the old ad campaign, "I. Can't. Take. This. Anymore.' It's my 'life', but I can, I can.

Just don't expect me to be gregarious and pleasant while watching Game VII v Lakes... ;)

of course they will if the rockets make the second round

all of my family and the majority of my friends here are all lakers fans (i do live in LA)

so they will be glad when the second round is over if the rockets make it that far so they can start rubbing it in

My girlfriend just shuts up and reads while I laugh, cry, and scream all through the game, ingesting every form of intoxicant available to me. There is a lot of anxiety associated with the playoffs, obviously. If we win, I'm in a great mood and I take her out wherever she wants to go. If we lose, I punish myself by imbibing and breathing heroic doses of poison until I'm numb. REAL healthy, I know. The LOOKS she gives me...

My wife will be extremely happy when this is over. However, I must say she has been very supportive. I will be at the game tonight and am not coming home after work. She gave me a kiss this morning and said " I hope they win for both of our sakes"
