One day Yao's historical worship may overtake that of Pete Chilcutts.

Yao will allways be remembered in Rocket history.

For this size, his marketability, & of course becuase he was the first Chinese player to "make it (be sucessful)" in the NBA.

Not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure that there are some Rox "fans" want to forget him as quickly as possible after he's not wearing Rox uniform any more.

If I can remember Kevin Willis as a Rocket after 10 years, then surely I'll remember Yao 10 years from now.

    Definantly...pioneer for international BB

also....first of freaky sized centers (Bol, Bradley, Eaton, Muresan, etc.) to dominate the game at points and to have any athletic ability...agility.

One day someone of this size will be compared to him

I am going to remember this for a long time:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jss1xEzh5b4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jss1xEzh5b4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

oh, yeah, he'll be remembered, take a look at how rockets changed after we acquired yao, all of those trades and moves are all based on yao's existence, now rockets has champ competence, which is what yao brought here. But comehere2 is right, yao still need a ring to help people remember him in longer days, as paul pierce said, he's just a player played long in a team without a ring, but with ring, he's one of them who has their jersey retired and hung up in the gym. That's how people remember u as a glorious player, it's about a ring, an o'brain trophy, and your number hanging up there.
