Do you guys think that if Yao gets a couple of easy baskets against shaq that te lakers will then double team yao?
I dont think Shaq wants his teammates to help him on defense. I believe he wants to play yao 1on1 on the defense. However, the Rockets will double shaq.
Phil Jackson doesn't like to doubledown on anybody. Phil hinted on a recent interview that in order to slow down the rockets, Shaq will play 1 on 1 against Yao on the defensive end. Yao should have alot of opportunities to shine offensively. Its time for Yao to shine. But Yao one D, I'm sure Rudy will double and triple team shaq to protect him. Yao will need alot of help defensively tonight.
If Yao is single covered tonight, it will be a nice change, even if it is O'Neal. I think one of the reasons Yao has struggled with his shot lately is the double team. Players have started coming at him after he is making his move and they have blocked a few of his shots from the blind side. It seems to me like Yao is rushing his shot as a result. He needs to get into his move quicker but should stay true to his form. I hope the Rockets coaches help him with this...
Agreed. And no, I don't think Yao will be doubled tonight either. I hope he doesn't struggle with his shot tonight, 'cause it may be his night!
The double team has given Yao some troubles , I think Yao would rather have someone guard him one on one even if it is Snack guarding him. I think he will get at least 16 pts tonight and as long as the Rockets win that will be good enough no matter what Snack scores
